Now at 4 weeks in grading/qc on a 5 card express order. I called and inquired since the current turnaround times for this level are at 15 days and was told "it should finish this week".

I don't think I will grade with them again.

You could apply your experience to every single one of the "big" grading companies dude.

Exactly, so why would I grade with CSG again?

It's odd in the 32 card order the only 2 cards with a 10 in surface were the only 2 2018 update cards in the order.

Agreed... I have seen ZERO CSG 10's. Please post your card when in hand.

And congrats, that is awesome!

I just spoke to them and got everything straightened out. They did not have my credit card on file which is what I assumed when I called on Monday, but the CS rep I spoke to then said there was no issue. So all is straightened out now and they said my express and economy are both ready to ship.

Wow, just had my standard sub from 5/28 pop and shipped back today (6/16).

Unfortunately I disagree with one of the grades:

https://www.csgcards.com/certlookup/1005621002/

Every Zion Cosmic has weird factory marks (blotches) underneath the RC shield. I'll have to look over the card when I get it back but I'm pretty positive those blotches are why the surface got an 8 when there are PSA 10 versions with the same blotches. I don't remember seeing any other surface issue at all, let alone drop a grade down to an 8.

Bummer, too because the other subgrades are 10, 9.5, 10. Could've been my first CSG 10.

Might have to be a prime candidate for a crack and resub to PSA when they open back up. Or even BGS to go for that BGS 10.

Not as bad as mine unfortunately. I don't think that CSG realized that this card is supposed to have gold flake on it, that makes the surface feel rough to the touch.

I been having bad luck with all grading companies lately, think its about time to start my own grading company and serial number each slab /10 for added rarity lol. Whoever starts doing that in the near future make sure to give me my cut for the idea, thanks.

Cards straight from Topps like Living Set/Topps Now have been getting 10's with CSG so the only difference with Lawrence card is the auto. I'm thinking it caused the false flag
I received back a 50 card bulk order today and mostly gemmed except 4 cards got 8.5 and just a couple 9s. I feel they definitely have issues grading the surface on certain cards. These 4 1997 fleer mcgrady have very cheap cardboard feel to them, but they were flawless. All got an 8 on surface but 9.5 and 10 on other subs. Why not 7.5 or 8.5? To add to this I had a John Collins optic shock and deandre Hunter disco prizm both have very noticeable print lines yet got 9.5 surface. Very curious if they are using a scanner that is shitting on certain card stock and not others.

Also had about 5-6 cards with massive finger prints on them… might call support and ship those back. I sound like I’m complaining but really just hoping to understand their surface process like others have pointed out. The order was almost all gems so I’m not an idiot grader, I had multiple paper Chris Paul hoops rc and Clayton Kershaw paper bowman rookies all get gems. Again the order was about 85% gem so I’m definitely happy and can’t complain. There’s definitely something off on certain card stock though.

Agreed. The order I posted about above you was a 50 card order but they left 2 cards out stating thick holders. However one card is a 2017 optic shock John Collins and they sent one back in this order of the 2 I had. The other is a 2020 topps chrome bo Bichette and they sent me 3 of these back. This makes no sense. Are they damaging cards maybe? I have to call anyway to get my 10% off for elite membership so maybe I’ll ask.

I emailed yesterday about my Economy order that was delivered to them 4/13. Got a reply in an hour. They said they are opening packages from the week of 4/5 now. It seems like I heard they were on that week a month ago

I had major CSG movement this week.

Bulk order no subs received 3/8- partial ship (waiting on thick cases for 2 cards) The two cards that I opted for subgrades from this order were shipped back to me on 4/21.

Bulk order no subs received 4/2- finalized and shipped 6/17

Bulk order received 4/24, the TWO that I opted for subgrades finalized and shipped 6/18. The rest of that order is still scheduled for grading.

On the 92 cards that I have grades for:
9.5 - 32 cards
9.0 - 46
8.5 - 12
8.0 - 2

Most of the under 9 grades are from 80s cards where I expected it. I'm overall pretty happy. Would have liked the 9 and 9.5 numbers flipped but I know they are tough graders. Got in at $8/card so it's still a nice value increase!

Highlights are FIVE 9.5s on Hoops 138 David Robinson RCs. Also got 4 9s. Very happy with that. The rest is gravy!

92 cards in sub and no 10’s! I feel very fortunate now.

Yeah they are SUPER tough graders. In my experience, they're tougher than PSA.

Just got my first order of 40 cards back, mostly 1975-1990 cards. WOW, they are very tough graders. Much harder than PSA IMO. If people really do buy the card not the slab, the realized auction prices should converge. My best grade was one quad 9.5 on a Shaq rookie, and other than that it was mostly 8, 8.5, 9's. Only one 10 subgrade out of all 40 cards! And I was a dealer back then, so I was purchasing good quality and keeping them safe.

That said, I am very happy with the look of the slabs, and the cards overall. Will use them going forward. FYI: Surface grading for 1980-ish topps baseball is brutal.

In hand the slabs surprised me. The holographic green is much more professional looking. I am using them again for sure. Over time I think the prices might spike when enough of their slabs are 8n the market place.

Them being super hard graders will work good because then people will know anything 9 to 10 will be premium
