I don't care what anyone thinks, passing Kareem is pretty damn impressive for a 21yr. old.

They can play with these guys. They could easily be up 2 games to none.

Has to watch the fouls in game 3. Picks up too many stupid ones. Regardless, he set the tone early and the bench carried it forward. Stellar effort.

Was a weird game since he only commits a couple fouls a game for his career.

0% chance. We have his bird rights and Sean Marks has said Harris is the offseason priority. Whatever it takes, we'll resign him, even if its something crazy like 4/72. Tsai is paying the tax and said so. Harris is perfect to play with the stars on the team, and is home-grown. Keep your dirty hands away from Lumber Joe

Joey Buckets is too smart to play with a guy who thinks the world is flat

He played better much better this game even though that's not what box score shows. When he plays under control like that he can take the other team out of rhythm and do pretty much whatever he wants. Dissecting and confusing the other team is what he does best. He frustrates them and then they end up fouling him. He's like Tom Brady out there reading and picking apart the defense like a 5 star floor general.

Yep, I read a really good article a while ago talking about how not only was Luka able to read defenses like a maestro, but also able to manipulate them into opening up passing lanes for him to get the ball to the open man.

As for tonight's game, I thought it was funny when the announcers mentioned that Doc Rivers told his team that he wanted Luka to "feel their presence" or something like that. Then Luka promptly drops 22/8/6 to start the game.

He's scored 70 points in 66 minutes in these two games up against a pretty tough defensive team in playoff games. And he's dished out 17 assists. Outside of the first few minutes of game 1 he has looked in complete control. Truly amazing.

Huge Luka fan and every time I watch him play I am further amazed at what he does on the court at only 21 years old. He controls the court and all aspects of the game and the way he breaks down defenses is truly something special. We haven't seen this type of talent come to the league in a very long time. IMO

Yeah, supposedly the best perimeter defensive team in the league. Luka is a surgeon out there. You let him in the paint and it’s game over. He’s either going to get to the basket and probably draw a foul, or find the open man with a pass only he can make. There is nobody like him in the league. LeBron may have led in assists, but he is not the best passer.

All I heard from the analysts before the series was "yeah Mavs are good but this is a really bad matchup for them since they can't play D, and PG/Kawhi is going to be a problem for Luka..."

Mavs have looked like the better team for 6 of the 8 quarters, and Luka is having NO problem with whoever is guarding him. Truly impressive. I hate that we're even bringing Lebron into this conversation, but put some of the talent-level Lebron has played with around Luka... watch out.

I don't understand Luka's second foul against Kawhi.

Kawhi had an open layup and Luka fouled him so he wouldn't have an easy 2. Kawhi is an 85% free throw shooter and Luka staying out of foul trouble is much more important that 2 points in the 2nd quarter.

That foul told me that Luka still has a ton of learning to do, which makes sense at 21. With the numbers he is putting up, it could be scary as he grows physically and mentally over the next few years.

Here's what the 2007 NBA Finals Starting Lineup would have looked like with Luka instead of LeBron.. add in Daniel Gibson and watch out!

Larry Hughes
Sasha Pavlovic
Luka Doncic
Drew Gooden
Zydrunas Ilgauskas

Middle ground in here. It was the correct basketball play, especially for a playoff game. No layups. Leader has to set the tone. The, "Do as I say, not as I do." mantra doesn't work long term. If Luka isn't giving up layups, then no one can.

Kawhi missed the 2nd one to boot. Shooting 85% from the line means 30% chance he misses one of two. Pretty much zero percent that he misses a layup.
