Makes me wonder if that Brady Contenders on PWCC is shilled... Being a 10-10.... 650,000 doesn't seem out of line... probably 750,000 or more wouldn't surprise me....It's a shame when people want a certain card, but get out bid by shilling... everyone knew it was going on..but there was nothing they could do!

So, I’ve decided to buy a Brady rookie, I can throw around $1,000 at it. I’ll admit I’m pretty clueless when it comes to the Brady market. I’ve been looking at some raw regular bowman.

I’d prefer patriots uni. Are there any other cards I should be looking into? What cards are undervalued, if any, right now? Thanks for any info you guys are willing to share.

$1000 won’t do much. I would get the highest graded Bowman paper for the money. If for PC go BGS if for resale down the road go PSA.

Definitely try to get a graded copy if you can. Regular Bowman or Metal might be good ones for that price. I just picked up a PSA 8 Metal myself, great card that I think will continue to grow!

Here's a story to either laugh or cry at:

During the Pat's 2007 regular season undefeated run, I picked up a BGS 10 Bowman Chrome on eBay for around 750 dollars. Back then that was quite a bit of money for me, but was the next best thing to getting a high grade Contenders auto, which unbelievably, were only selling for a few thousand dollars then.

Shortly after they lost the Super Bowl, I bought my first house and wanted to raise funds for home improvements. With the angst of David Tyree still fresh in my mind, I sold the card off to my LCS and broke even.

The shocking thing for me still, is not what that card is worth today. It's what they were *only* worth back then -- especially the Contenders and SP Authentic.

Back in 2013 or 2014 there was a Contenders up on COMC for $400 and I didn't pull the trigger right away. An hour later it was gone....

It had a crease in it, still. I remember it as the time I had a chance to get a Brady Ticket for $400.

What is more bizarre is that a PSA 10 Chrome could be had for 900 dollars as recently as 2017-18. Prices mostly froze for a decade. I paid $2K for a BGS 9.5 SPA in 2007 and got one back in 2016 for the same price.

I know that 10’s are always in a different price tier, but this has to boom the prices of his base rookie. Especially, in PSA graded holders.

For sure. and 2.4 is without the buyer's premium which is 20% i think.

LOL. I guess fear of shilling was not enough to keep the big spenders away. I really hope the "rising tide raises all boats" theory is in affect. Gives me hope my lowly PSA 8 is still holding its value.

Ultra high end collectors want best of the best. There are 12 PSA 10's without Autograph graded. We have seen contenders PSA and BGS with auto grade as low as 8. There are only two are PSA 10/10, both card and auto graded 10. Both card and auto grade makes a difference on a card like this! Just to give an example, a Champ ticket BGS 7.5 Auto 9 fetched only $430K.

One of the most condition sensitive and fast approaching 2K in a 9 grade is the UD Black Diamond RC. Still seems underpriced.

Exactly. The win against Atlanta pushed the ticket back up, and then the win vs the Rams kind of opened the door.

I bought my Bowman Chrome in 2018(maybe it was 2019), and I was debating paying $1.5k for a PSA10 or the $600 for a PSA 9. I went with a 9 for the price difference. Welp, I should've just bought the bullet on the 10 lol and sold when they peaked at $25k February(maybe it was more), and bought a 9 and have a good amount of extra cash still.

Also bought a PSA 10 Impact for like $120 in 2017/2018. For the longest time these were $100-$200 cards, and now over $1k.

I also remember wanting to get a Metal PSA 9/10, thought $600 for a 10 was too much, and couldn't get a good deal on a 9. That ship has sailed now though.
