A Walmart near me had 6 sets on Friday. May go get one or two today after work. May keep it sealed since I already have a hand collated set.

Who is going to run the first multiple case team group break of the Walmart Sets?

It's going to happen. I just know it.

They had them 4 days ago?

Good luck...

I purchased 3 boxes. 2 were Gold Star and 1 was base. On the inside of each flap was a stamped 5 digit number. The stamped number was different on all 3 boxes. So I don't know if those numbers correlate to a specific type of set.

Open up your eyes dude. There’s a little gold box on the side panel in the foreground (not the top) that says 1 in 3. Ahem.

Open yours. The dude originally responded to a guy who said that 1 in 3 were NUMBERED. That is NOT the case.

Ahh...ok, I see the difference. There’s a lot of confusion with the various parallels; versions of sets, hobby/retail, etc.

Are we both right?

I totally agree there are parallel sets 1 in every 3.

I'm honestly betting there is only one set actually numbered, and it's the 1/1.

Is this still in doubt? If there was a set numbered to /299, or/99 we DEFINITELY would have seen it by now. If people are still thinking there are other numbered sets, then they are delusional.

I will be hand-numbering my set to 299. If everyone else does the same thing we should be good to go.

Ok we just have to coordinate so that we don't all use the same numbers out of 299 lol

Does there have to be color involved or can I number the base set to /57?

Props to whoever gets a base set hand-numbered to 1/1 up on eBay first.
They can claim it’s Heritage / Ginter style numbering. (Just remember to copy the writing style.)

Reminds me of the 125 different fake 1/1 Pujols Bowman Originals buybacks from 2006.

Got a shipment notification for one of my Saturday (10/3) orders on Walmart.com. Due here on Friday (10/9). So they’re moving.

I’m sure the 1/1 set will be color bordered like the blue and Orange. Probably red, but it’s just a guess.

Thanks for the clarification.
They may also have noticed the $750 BIN blue set (which actually sold for $700). Sold just over an hour after yours.

I wish they'd load some of these up online again. They are actually in stock at a store about 20 minutes from me, but don't think I'll risk the COVID to get one. (Wisconsin being the epicenter of the virus at the moment)

Very nice. No movement on my 10/3 order yet, so I'm still crossing my fingers.
