Wrong. There were 4800 cards that were graded outside of football, consistent with their weekly averages.

I said licensed sports cards. Pokémon and TCG is completely different and separated. When CGC, PSA, and SGC numbers are reported, they separate the TCG and sports cards.

Wrong guy. Look what I highlighted. You don't even remember what you said.

Read lower down and it is there. By the way, why would I talk about unlicensed Pokemon cards?

If he is getting paid by TAG, they are making a mistake. He is doing their company more harm by the comments he makes.

My comment was referencing how recently TAG was grading tons of unlicensed cards and cards for start ups like that new TCG. That has taken up half their volume. Sorry, I need to be clearer for you, " unlicensed sports cards!

This is a big issue with TAG. They are relying on Whatnot breakers to put Wild Card football cards for breaking, making art cards, a new TCG for dumping cards, and mystery box Pokemon cards. Very few individuals are using TAG to grade for their PC.

It seems you conflated absolute numbers with ratios of unlicensed/licensed.

And I know, you feel the need to make the same point week after week.

Do you even grade with TAG? Haven't seen you show anything off...

I have used SGC, CGC, and PSA the last 2 months and I have posted my results. Seems kind of weird you promote this company, but you aren't showing off any cards.

Aren't you taking another break from grading?

Yup, everything that is being graded or on the way back has been submitted. No new orders will be going out for awhile.

I have some thick memorabilia, acetate cards, and cards prior to 1989 that could be graded. How is TAG coming along with those cards? I guess making Halloween cards of the World Series, making cards of your Pets, and grading a TCG that no one ever heard of it more important.

I like TAG and their transparency, and I send in a few with their S service - but I don't like the cost or the limited number of cards they intake. I get why they do it, but I like to submit in volume and at that price point and with limited submissions, I just can't do it.

I love the slabs, and the transparency and ranking by score. I have some in my PC but don't purchase many on the secondary market because people are listing them at high prices, likely because they had to spend $30+/card to have them graded.

How will TAG fare when Pokémon cycles down. It’s a fever pitch right now.

Last week Pokemon represented almost 91% of their grading volume.

This shows how much people care about transparency in grading. TAG is also the only company that uses UV protection, which I think is very important. They are losing what sports card collectors they once had without being able to grade thicker cards. The best slabs you can get, the most transparency, and they grade a fraction of the sports cards that GMA grades at the same price.

I am baffled that all the companies don't use UV protection. One touches have them, seems like an easy bullet point win.

Beckett slabs definitely offer some sort of UV protection as well, but personally I think it's all pointless.

Direct sunlight on any slab, (whether they offer UV protection or not) will fade the card.

I have a multiple SGC slab frames that I can swap out the slabs inside, and this frame itself has UV protection on the glass.

But it still needs to not be in direct sunlight, etc.

All slabs offer some UV protection, because most UV is scattered when it hits the plastic surface. Same for glass.
