Love the Stargell, Kelley should be proud of that one! Love the player too but as I stated before that shoulda been Akil Baddoo instead of Willie Stargell.

I know it takes time to plan and work out with the artists/MLBPA but Topps needs to cash in on erratic talent now and reserve those HoF before this set becomes Topps Traded Living Set.

I know Jared mentioned that he receives the player and reference photo 7-10 days before his submission date, which is a week before release date. Knowing that, I agree, Baddoo should've already been on Topps radar. Hopefully next week, but I would be surprised if Topps released Tigers cards in back-to-back weeks.

I’m just hoping for Royals cards in back-to-back years!

They should do Fernando in October. As the 40th anniversary of that title run is this year.

There are currently 10 Royals cards.

2018
11 Alex Gordon
70 Bo Jackson
2019
143 Ryan O'Hearn RC
189 Hunter Dozier
228 Jorge Soler
264 Brad Keller RC
2020
277 Whit Merrifield
287 George Brett
309 Salvador Perez
349 Adalberto Mondesi
That's a good stretch without a Royals card, 61 and counting.

There have been 118 rookie cards to date, accounting for 28.78% of the set. I'm working on the ratio of Hall of Fame, active, retired, and deceased players, too.

My count was only 116 rookies. I could have missed a couple.

52 HOFers ~ 12.7% - with 264 current HOFers (excluding managers, executives, umpires, and PIOs) we are almost 20% of the way through all hall of famers.
18 Retired, non-HOF ~ 4.4%
9 Players featured on a 2nd card with a different team. ~ 2.0%

As far as HOF cards go:
Yankees - 5
Tigers and Pirates - 4
Orioles and Expos - 3 (Guerrero Sr. is in the HOF as an Angel, but Living Set Card is pictured as an Expo)

Phillies, Angels, Brewers, SF Giants, LA Dodgers (I make a distinction for city changes regardless of franchise continuity) - 0

Rays, Marlins, Nationals - No HOFers

Did anybody here buy the Yamamoto fine art print and selling?
I forgot to buy it, but realizing I should have bought it.
I have the Game within the Game Trout or Soto fine art prints for trade, so let me know if anybody here bought it and willing to trade or sell.

Print run is only 9, so not sure if anybody bought other than for PC, but figured it's worth asking here...

Anyone else wondering if Mantle was Seto's final TLS card?

The latest one, Jeimer Candelario is also Seto's work.
So, she's not done yet, and I hope she has more upcoming works.

The Living Set Print Run.pdf

Chart of print runs with some of the highest PRs called out. For those that might be interested... I'm a nerd with the data for this set.

Kinda crazy that the Luis Robert still sells for $16+ at auction. I did not buy them direct from topps, assumed they would be overprinted then had to pay extra to get a handful of them later. Pretty much stopped doing the wait and see approach after him.

Disclaimer: I cannot art for %&#% but if you want to see weekly pressures surely affecting quality, the UEFA Champions League artist is in my thoughts and prayers.

I've spoken with the Star Wars artist (Penix) and he doesn't even have time to speak.

I would like to see Connie Mack or John McGraw as the first manager featured.

I'm in the same boat regarding my art skills, or lack thereof.

Full disclosure, I don't care for the UEFA Champions artist's style, however, I agree the workload is clearly taking its toll. The best decision Topps made with MLB Living Set was splitting the load, followed closely by initially dropping Seto's workload.
