Would his eBay ID happen to start with "Chris"?

Probably a base and 2 patch cards as well, all boxes I've seen have had 9 cards.

Matt on BO TV was ripping these at lunchtime. $1050 a box from BO and he was selling them as fast as he could get them. Watched him go through 10 in under an hour today

Hopefully they ripped them all and will raise their price.

Interesting that there's some still available at under $900 on eBay. Doesn't make a lot of sense in relation to the contents. I'm hodling

I agree. I have two that I can't decide if I want to rip or hold. If singles were selling better I would rip, no question.

On the checklist there's two booklets to 5, Brand logo and team logo.

No, 8 cards.

Larry Bird base and an awful UCLA quad napkin with Leaf and Kris Wilkes.

Seen many boxes with 8 cards, some posted in this very thread. Probably another box very like this one.

I might get $200 for my best card, maybe $100 for Coby White, contents aren't worth nearly $900 not even close.

Contents never match up with costs. But ROI is still better with these collegiate boxes (at least for the time-being).

Take my 2017-18 Prizm Hobby boxes as example. I bought 2 off eBay for $250-275 each (when they were selling on eBay for $300-325 each, and even higher on BO).

Let’s just use eBay prices since those are more “true” market prices. For $650 worth of boxes (the 2 aforementioned), I barely pulled $50 of value ($50/$650 is 7.7%). I’ve had MANY boxes return less than 20% compared to what I paid per box (to be transparent, some have met or exceeded what I paid too). Anyway, all things considered, the ROI from your box is significantly better than the usual Panini box...and it was one of the “weaker” (sorry!) boxes ripped from this release.

Not all $900 NT Collegiate BKB boxes will return $900+ in value. With that said, you have a significantly higher likelihood of making your money back compared to the usual Panini box (other than Immaculate Collegiate). And some of these boxes have MONSTERS. From a ripping standpoint, it makes more sense to bust these (right now) than other Panini products if your sole ambition is best bang for buck.

This. Even the worst box will most likely get close to MSRP. That's just absurd.

It's a game of numbers. The more you break, the odds of you pocketing go up massively. One Zion RPA can basically pay off 2-3 boxes...with a good chance at a massive pull with your remaining cards.

The booklet cards really reduce the value of the 'big hit' compared to Immaculate, sadly.

Having a booklet/56 as your best card is much worse value than just about any box from Immaculate that I saw keeping with the college theme.

Of course you can still get the 'big hit' but the value for these ain't there at current prices. Box breakers just driving up the prices of sealed, definitely a better decision to sell vs bust at these levels.

Prizm is not a good comparison to NT for obvious reasons.

Your clearly not the consensus from what i have seen. Every box has been returning crazy value if there is such a thing in box breaks. Level of big hits or hits of nice value are pretty frequent from what I have seen.

Actually the booklet is just an added bonus (and they sell quite well, which surprises me).

The box hit is the card before the booklet. Which in your case was the Reddish RPA. And that was the same box hit in many immac boxes, including one of mine. It's either Ja, Zion, Cam, RJ, Rui, or Hunter (the worst of the bunch) as the hit.

The rest of the format is identical...typically 4-5 rpa's, base card, and a napkin or prime patch. The only real plus Immac had over NT were the potential giant shoe logo cards, but those were rare. And there's still non-logo patches and 1/1 printing plate RPA's available in NT as additional hits.

Give me a choice between breaking NT and Immac at current prices and it's NT 7 days out of 7 and twice on sunday.

They're priced accordingly. Nobody is going to re-sell a product near msrp when the median worst case resale value is around 400-500 on singles. Seems as though they're not having any problems filling GB's, either. BO ran through them like nothing.
