Looks like Jamie Lee is channeling Loomis to a point. I predict there will be a similar "Hey, where'd he go? He was shot eight times in the chest and fell out a third story window - WHERE IS THE BODY????" type of ending.

That movie is way ahead of its time. I'm not surprised it wasn't a bigger hit, but it'll age well. It has some truly spectacular visuals along with the kind of high concept not often glimpsed in big studio films. Alex Garland is a fine screenwriter. I loved his Judge Dredd (2012 version) and of course, "Ex Machina".

It never came to any of the three cinemas within about an hour from me. Might have something to do with it. I'm not sure if it was like that nationwide but I was surprised when I wanted to go and couldn't find it playing anywhere. I did rent it and enjoyed it. The movie was a bit odd and might not be for everyone though.

So the question becomes which version of Natalie Portman came out of the lighthouse....

I have no clue. Being vague not to post a spoiler. The movie makes you think one thing and then makes you change your mind. So without watching it again and analyzing it more closely I honestly have no clue.

I was excited about that one too . I realy hope it delivers . I was extremely let down after watching resolution . it had a lot of good feedback and when the credits began rolling I felt like it was a complete waste of my time .

Pretty much same. I *think* I appreciated what they were trying to do, but overall I was just very meh about it.

Definitely intend to see this one again. I was blown away by the visuals and audio in the last 30 minutes of the movie.

Halloween is my favorite... i love the idea of it being the "sequel"

Love that they are going to give fans what they want with the same feel and plot as 1

Looks amazing

It looks phenomenal. And thankfully they went back and reshot the ending. It desperately needed it.

Also, pretty sure McBride just dropped a huge spoiler to EW. Just a warning to anyone anticipating this.

Like others I won’t talk about it here but might make a spoiler thread so we can talk about it without ruining it for others.

There is a LOT to digest and talk about. This is not some cookie cutter Hollywood horror movie.

Also, I loved the ending, I left the theater with my group of friends and we sat outside in the parking lot for almost half an hour talking about it and realizing new little things about the movie that made more sense once the bigger picture was explained

If Toni Collette does not at least get nominated it will be an absolute joke. Honestly, Alex Wolff too
agree with most of this. just left the theater. best horror movie i've seen in a while.

I'm surprised that, with the development of self driving cars, drones, etc, no one has remade "Maximum Overdrive"

Personally, I would like to see the Green Goblin truck replaced with a Hello Kitty one.

Just started Tokyo Vampire Hotel on Amazon Prime. Crazy show so far, but it’s what expected from Sion Sono. Pretty good so far and going to dive more into the show tonight.

I’ve got Hereditary on tap for this weekend. Really looking forward to it.

I guess it kind of qualifies as horror due to the deaths involved, but the Evil Genius series on Netflix was pretty good.

I'm surprised they showed the footage of the guy being blown up.

Watching the Strangers 2 tonight. So far it doesn’t have the same uneasy feeling as the first one.

Everyone told me it was awful, and I went in with that mindset. I ended up having a hell of a time with it, logic be damned. The pool scene was worth it alone.

So many bad horror movies out there, I guess it's the low Budget, and simple overseas marketing that gets these things distributed. Thanks for posting some good ones!

Watched The Forest on DVD. I enjoyed it, nice location in Japan I'm guessing, and there was a plot.

The Broken 2008. Hated it. Seems like the audio track was broken. Dialogue too quiet, then random "jump scares" with loud shrieking bangs and other noises. I couldn't even watch it, and that's bad for me.

Yeah that pool scene was solid. Overall for me it was a terrible sequel and should of never made it to theaters. The first one worked really well I thought, this one didn’t have the same feeling of helplessness.
