Any appreciation for Contenders autos on here? I have been reading for the few weeks and don't see any mention. They seem like they get no love.

Contenders are awesome. Have a psa 9 rookie auto of Luka. Unfortunately, the product line is primarily popular in Football. Things change quickly though. Won't be surprised if it slowly creeps in as one of his top tier RCs

It looks like BO has pulled most of their 2018 basketball from the store. Either that or it sold out. Strange, i wonder why they did that. Were people buying it out like crazy and they were afraid of selling too low so they pulled the rest of it? Or did people just buy it all? What a time to be alive.

I remember when people on these boards were pumping Optic like CRAZY and there was a huge spike and Optic even overtook Prizm on a few cards and/or was neck and neck. The Luka cards in particular were pumped hard due to their scarcity as opposed to Prizm. Guess Prizm has won for now...

Im guessing here but id guess they bought it all... i was slowly buying from my LCS as when i purchase too quick they panic and hike prices on me. didnt go for about 2 weeks in may and the Bay Area people came and cleaned out all the 18-19

It went fast. my LCS even asked me if i wanted to part with some of my prizm or cornerstones... maybe for a quality luka i would outside of that im good for now

No pumping. Optic is amazing. It was even more amazing when Luka base was $3-5 raw and PSA 10 Holos were under $200.

I think $6900 is fair for a PSA 10 Holo right now. I expect we will see $10k early in the new season.

I sold 3 Optic PSA 10 for $1k each after the game. I couldn’t move my Prizm PSA 10 for price I had listed prior to the game, so I put it back into my PC.

I know its been writted ad nauseam in other threads but my local Target had 18-19 Optic Megas sitting on the shelves through like July/August of 2019.

I love Contenders but they are also super rare because they were redemptions. One of my favorite Luka cards

ship all your cards to work address if you have one. thats what i do, unfortunately during covid when I was shut down for 4 weeks things did get hectic when the door bell kept ringing three times a day haha.

If you dissect Luka's completed listing over last 36 hours, you can notice one very big trend. The base (optic, silvers) have really not moved much and some have even gone don. His RPA's 9 (immac, impeccable), auto's and high end are moving with amazing velocity. High end buyers are stepping in with two feet on Luka.

Was a little surprised to see the BGS 9 optic holo only get about $1,300. Otherwise, sales looked very impressive mostly across the board.

Great taste and great card. I like a lot of the other cards like Prizm Blue /199 but these are /99 with an in game photo and a good photo at that. They have the shine and they have an on card auto as a bonus? I'm in! For the record, I am lucky to have a great business partner that picked up two of these and one of the blue variations /49. I can't see a prizm blue /199 being worth more than a contenders optic blue auto /99 years and years into the future but then again I am biased and I love both. Here are two of our three.

I agree plus the redemption factor will come into play with these as well. Not all /99 or /49 will ever be redeemed.
