Yeah his injury didn't come at a good time, but better then than a few weeks later, or I'd be without him for the rest of the season. That would not be good. Pitching has been the main reason I lost last week and this week, so getting Kershaw back will be huge

It's crazy how close things are this year. In my experience, there's usually been a lot more separation between the top half of the league- Top 2 teams usually have a bit of a better record, and the middle of the leagues have a few more teams closer to .500. Looking like after this week we'll have a 13-5, two 12-6s, three 11-7s, and a 10-8. It's so close and going to be rough for for the 1 team of those 7 that doesn't make it

Oh for sure! This is one of the first leagues I've been in where the standings have been this close among the top 6-7 teams, and even the teams near the bottom of the standings aren't that far out of contention (meaning they have been able to beat teams in the upper half). The closeness between teams in the standings has made the league a lot more fun and competitive and I definitely have enjoyed this year! The next few weeks before playoffs will be crucial and it will be interesting to see how much they shake up from now until then

Couple of stats on how bad my week was:
-Ended with lowest weekly point total of the year, and the first time I've been in the bottom 2 in final points on the week in the league -My bats actually scored more points than their weekly average on the year. Which gives you an idea of how bad my pitching was.... -Just 45 points from my pitchers the entire week. That's about 100 points below my average for my pitchers Coincidentally, I'm going to lose by about 100 points this week...-Kluber, Sale, Scherzer, Carlos Martinez, and even Parker freaking Bridgewell are have scored over 40 points themselves this week, each nearly matching or exceeding my entire pitching staff's dreadful week -Kenley Jansen scored me 35 points. After that, no pitcher gave me more than 17 -Sims, McHugh, and Manaea combined for -38, more than negating Jansen as my top scorer on the week -Archer, Quintana, and Duffy combined for 13 points all week (4 points less than Ian Kennedy scored himself) Yeesh.

35 points this week out of Cozart was pretty dang awesome. My bats alone had 228 points. I need that going forward for the playoff push.

Great to see Teheran beginning to return to his old form! Dominant start against a dangerous Rockies lineup!

I swear I started Conley when I set my lineup on my phone today (almost always do it on my laptop, but I was traveling today). But looking now, he's still on my bench. So there's 9 big points I'm missing. Kinda frustrating in a matchup this big, but so it goes. I suppose as long as I don't lose by less than 10 points it won't end up being a factor

You have 14 pitchers starting this week so even with conley on the bench, you still have the opportunity to max out your pitching starts this week

Yeah but that includes some less than stellar pitchers and some rough matchups. It's not the end of the world, just disappointing when you thought you started someone who had a decent outing, only to find out they stayed on your bench

Stanton is on an absolute tear right now! 6 straight games with a homer, that's incredible!

Disappointing outing tonight by Degrom. Glad Gio pitched well but I'm really going to need Hammel and Lamet to be rock solid tonight in order to get a lead on Hollywood

Yikes. Leiter not the best stream decision. Luckily my bats had a solid day, and hopefully Hammel and Lamet can give up a few more runs. Should be about even in my matchup at the end of the day

Funny thing was I was thinking about that as he performed better than Degrom in the first few innings but he completely got destroyed like I expected against a very dangerous Red Sox lineup. Degrom got 0 points so he was just a wasted start but very very nice outings from Lamet and Gio and a solid outing from Hammel as well as a bit of luck from a poor outing from Leiter and I have myself a 12 point lead. Still really early in the matchup but I definitely will need my offense to wake up a bit and my pitching to not get battered this week

Seems like a good time for another round of power rankings. Link to my last rankings- http://www.blowoutforums.com/showthr...g#post12513600
1. SC515 (+1). I still don't know how he's doing it, but he just keeps putting together wins. Nobody on the offense is particularly studly lately save Dozier, Moustakas, and Beckham. Pitching somehow continues to get enough good starts to keep winning. Hamels deciding he's going to be good again has helped for sure 2. Bosox (+2). Continues to be a consistently good team. Getting Trout back has helped a lot. Kluber/Darvish/deGrom has always been a great top 3 on the pitching staff, but guys like Hammel, Lamet, Dickey, Gio, and a few others pitching better than one should expect has helped over this 7-1 stretch 3. Julu (+3). I've known all along this was a dangerous team. The bats are really clicking, with 8 guys scoring over 35 points in the past 15 days. The pitching is going to be key down the stretch- Paxton's injury is a huge loss, and there's not a ton of consistent talent around after Sale. He'll have to hope those guys put up a lot of points for the next few weeks, because a big pitching loss this late could be a big problem 4. Todderfield (-1). I think at this point, this is the safest of the three different 11-7 teams. The offense didn't change much and still doesn't have a ton of star power, but still should be good enough minus a few spots I'd be concerned with. Pitching is definitely the safest of the 11-7 teams though, with Bum, Severino, Keuchel, and Godley. Strasburg could be back in a few days too, but I wouldn't count on Syndy or Felix pitching again this year. Lynn, Eickhoff, and Bridgewell have pitched great of late too, which is a bit surprising 5. Cornerstore (no change). Offense is solidly above average, even with the loss of Harper for at least another week. Same case with so many other teams this year, the depth pitching is going to be key- Grienke and CMart are a good 1-2, but it really all depends on how guys like Ervin, Jon Gray, Iglesias, Peacock, Salazar, and Bauer pitch down the stretch 6. Hollywood (-4). Pretty concerning stretch of late as I haven't managed to score over 250 points in 2 of the past 4 weeks. That said, I also have scored nearly 350 in that stretch, so there's still the potential for big points. The good news is that my offense is clicking on all cylinders, with 9 guys scoring over 35 in the past 15 days- All but 2 of my offensive players (one of those 2 has scored 25 over that span, and the other is my catcher which has always been a rough spot for me). Just going to need my pitching to hang on for a bit longer. Duffy and Manaea have been disappointing of late, and Archer and Quintana both have too many starts in the 10 point range instead of closer to 20. Can't wait to have Kershaw back 7. Bshea (no change). Not a whole lot has changed in my opinions since my last list. Gallo and Stanton are destroying the ball right now. Verlander is a big reason why this team is still in contention for a back end playoff slot, and the depth SPs are all having a pretty solid streak right now that will need to continue 8. Highroller (no change). Not much has changed in my opinions of this team either. Solid roster, but not quite enough to compete with the top teams in the league 9. Dbacks (+1). Nearly all of the healthy players on this roster are actually playing super well right now. But as I predicted, the SPs have proven to be too unreliable in terms of health- There's 7 pitchers on the DL right now, and Price just suffered another setback 10. Silverandblack (-1). I think what I said last time still holds true- "There's a few top tier guys here and there, but there's too many lower tier guys hanging around too. The team is actually pretty consistent in the point totals, it's just that the level they've been scoring at is too low to keep up with other teams most weeks" 11. HOF (+1). Offense is playing well, and the pitching is performing better than they have for most of the year right now. There's still not enough there to truly compete yet, but the offseason will bring another chance to retool the roster 12. Firerunner (-1). As expected, starting a rebuild results in a drop in the rankings for the short term. That said, this team was very successful in starting a rebuild before the deadline, and that should really pay off in a few years Playoff contenders SC515 Bosox Julu Todderfield Cornerstore Hollywood Bshea Eliminated Highroller Dbacks Silverandblack HOF Firerunner

The following players are currently on prospect rosters, but are no longer eligible and must be added to a major league roster or dropped:
Nick Williams (Cornerstore) The following players are currently on prospect rosters and still eligible to be there, but are starting to get close to ineligibility: Derek Fisher (Dbacks, 85 AB) Just took a quick look at things and those were the 2 I noticed, definitely might be some others out there

Highroller is going to be up about 60 by the end of the night. Need a big weekend out of my bats and pitchers especially.

For some reason i thought it was 150 ab for hitters - was hoping williams would not hit that in the season but that would be a pipe dream. Going to offically release him

Highroller and Dback potentially spoiling some changes this week. Although 7 people fighting for 6 spots will be very interesting who ends up getting the 2 byes and who doesnt make the cut

It's looking uncomfortably like those 9 points I thought I started but instead left on the bench are really going to matter in this matchup..... On the plus side, Kluber left the game early just short of a QS, and my bats are staying warm. Going to be a real close one
