Very tough. There is a steep drop off for sure. Historically, the Closer wasn't a big role because pitchers went so deep into games.

In modern times, closers are super important, but most don't pan out longer than a few years.

My big struggle, the one that required me to sleep on it the night before last, was between Koosman and Jansen.

His career isn’t complete, so the ratios are likely to settle a bit. But if you look at Jansen’s ERA, WHIP and BAA, he’s among the top handful of all-time closers. He’s already at 300 saves, and so a couple more strong seasons will cement his legacy.

But ultimately, Koosman as my No. 4 SP was just too appealing.
