Good signs from a Yahoo article today:

Saturday’s Alabama-Tennesse game drew an audience of 11.6 million people, the third such 10-million plus viewership game already this season. (As recently as 2019, just a single game prior to the playoffs cracked the 10 million mark.)

The sport is booming despite everyone’s past concerns and fears. Attendance is expected to be up nationally for the first time in seven years.

I would think College games are getting a boost from the primetime snoozers the NFL has been putting out this year. Fans can at least see something exciting on Saturdays as opposed to what's been happening with the pro's on Thursday/Monday

Was just wondering this -- How is Bryce Young in the Panini NT set with Alabama logos ? I think he is the first player still in college to be in a Panini set

NIL. Panini has licensing rights for Alabama and apparently has a contract with Young. Only thing they may have had to do was contact the university to use them in conjunction. I'd assume the university wouldn't mind the free advertising.

Thursdays on Amazon Prime are still averaging nearly 11m plus.

Chiefs/Raiders on MNF did nearly 16m. NFL is still king.

Plus toss in that anyone w/ electricity can watch CBS but Prime is a paid service on a streaming platform.

I just wonder how many of the “Doom & Gloom” group for the card industry are reading this? Shows and football cards are doing great but I’m not sure if a small segment is attempting to usher collectors to sell or what. It’s not only the TV viewership but streaming and fan attendance that are solid, unless you are San Diego State by building a new stadium directly into the sunlight or UCLA who’s fan base are to busy doing whatever?

Baylor all over Kansas early. Not even 5 minutes in and it is 14-0.

Ohio State scored a FG 1 minute into their game against Iowa, so they can just take a knee on offense for the rest of the game and still win.

EDIT: That last statement aged well - if they had listened to me, they'd still be in the lead

RG3 is on ESPN and is being very critical of Dabo pulling DJ for Klubnik.

While I am only following Syr/Clemson on Gamecast, it sure seems like a good idea to me.

Ehh..they got aided by 2 boneheaded 15 yard penalties on Syracuse defense...one of which after the big sack and Cuse would've gotten ball back.

Offense does seem to be clicking better though

Orange is my favorite color, but watching Syracuse v Clemson and then Texas v Oklahoma State might just make my eyes bleed.

Clemson received a little home cookin’ on roughing penalties called and not called.

It's hilarious they got as high as #13. They became quite the media darlings after beating Bethune and S. Miss. I knew there was no way they were that good but man, I didn't think they were this bad.

This year's CFP is going to be Clemson, Okie State, Tennessee and the Chicago Bears.

They’re in the ACC. Even the top ACC team looks bad this year.

Agreed. Clemson is overrated based on prior success.

The Okie State punt returner was careless, but I think that's the wrong call to say the ball hit him. I think he got lucky in that the ball bounced away from him and didn't hit him (though I guess he's not that lucky given the call).

EDIT: Didn't cost Okie State as Texas turned it over on downs.

Looks like two undefeated teams are falling today. Ole Miss and UCLA. Ole Miss still has a slight chance but UCLA is done

People thinking UCLA is good was hilarious

Utah just isn’t good

Oregon might actually be OK
