I pulled a damaged Red Sapphire /5 of someone and Topps sent me back a Green Sapphire /99 of someone else. Had I known that I would've gotten the latter, I would've kept the former. Topps decided the value since there weren't any sales of the former, but I always do well with low print-run cards because I'm patient, and you only need 1 buyer (with a Red Sapphire /5, sometimes only a few pop up so you have even more leverage to get a better-than-expected offer).

In any case, hope you get another Ryan Murphy Dynasty Patch Auto /10 should you send it back in. But like obenheimer78 said, Topps' value system sucks.

Topps damage replacement has gotten a lot better from my experiences. For example in this set I had a damaged Xander auto gold /50, sent it in and they sent me back another gold in under two weeks. No issues there. Only one way to find out, I’d sent that dynasty in.

Jessica Long won gold in a swimming event today. Just sold a couple cards to her brother (who also purchased another card from me days ago). I always find it awesome (and love helping in whatever capacity) when family members pick up cards of their loved ones.

At $125 I would definitely look into getting a couple of cases to break. I'm tempted to get a case towards the beginning of October, but if prices continue to fall, I might wait until Blowout's Black Friday sale and see if they discount them even more.

Not saying I’d make my money back but it’s such a fun product to rip and, if you have patience, cards still move for good prices (I’m still seeing a number of Olympic cards each day, usually for more than recent comps too).

At $1500, average ROI would be much better than most other sports products IMO.

I agree with this. I'm honestly less worried about making my money back, but I want to enjoy opening a case or two of this product. This is one reason I'm not tracking how much money I spend building my super set. If I ever have to sell it off, I don't want to know if I'm losing money.

No matter what, I hope I get a chance to purchase from Blowout during their BF sale. When I used to live in DC, I went to their actual card shop a few times. It's pretty small, and they had an offsite building where they kept 99% of their inventory.

I've been busy and/or sick since mid-August so I haven't had much time or energy to put into my collection. I only just finished sorting through my Refractor and Pink Refractor cards.

I opened 12 hobby boxes and 49 blaster boxes and I ended up with just one complete Refractor set. You'd think that would mean there's some value to a full set. Judging from eBay sales, there isn't. I'm starting to wonder if sellers are using "refractor" in listings when selling base sets. How else do you explain a 200-card "refractor" set selling for $33 + shipping? It's impossible to know when so many sellers don't include pictures of the back of cards.

I've had to start a second binder. I'm two cards away from a full Pink Refractor set after buying some bulk lots on eBay. I'm at 52/200 for the Aqua Refractor #/199 set and 13/200 for the US Flag #/76 set. Bought one bulk lot on eBay. Before spending more, I need to start selling.

I bought all but the last two Olympic Topps NOW cards directly from Topps. Didn't get any parallels. The last two I missed and have coming from eBay. I didn't realize until it was too late that Topps also sold seven 2024 Paralympic Games through Topps NOW, continuing the numbering from the Olympic Games cards. Print runs are miniscule:

I hadn’t opened any of this before today, though I’d been eying the blasters at my local Barnes & Noble, but I found a spare hobby box at a card show this afternoon for a fair price ($150) and took a stab. Think I did pretty well. Seven numbered cards including 3 autos seems mighty generous. The Caleb is obviously the hit of the box, a beautiful gold on-card auto. I greatly enjoyed watching him in this summer’s games.

I finally got the last of my eBay pickups and wanted to show everyone our haul. Still waiting on one last Dressel auto /5. A couple of these were our pulls but most were purchased online. Why so many? I have two kids who are aspiring swimmer. I thought it would be fun for them to have some cards of legendary swimmers they could keep in their collections. Who knows, maybe I’ll have a card of theirs one day? That would be epic.

Anyways, hope everyone enjoyed this product. I sure did!
