Are you speaking for the people of Maine? Maybe what you want is not what they want? I have not suggested what they should or should not do. Just pointed out that it is a difficult situation because of their proximity to the States that have been hit the hardest.

I am consistent in stating that I support reopening now, in a phased manner, which aligns with the best interests of each State. The people of the State need to figure out where their tolerance is for the economy vs. COVID19.

That is one alternative of a hundred. They need to figure that out.

What everyone wants is what we had two months ago. Granted, it won't be easy getting there, but I'm watching Governors out do themselves on these stay-at-home orders and it's all based on assumptions.

I'm with you, a phased approach needs to happen virtually everywhere. There's no reason why Wal-Mart can be packed but Kohl's is closed, or why the parks are closed. I understand we cannot pack stadiums yet, but at least if we phase-in reopening, then we can see some light at the end of the tunnel.

It sucks for sure, but NH just had to close the vast majority of their parks/trails because of the crowding. And when you look at the ratio of in-state vs. out-of-state license plates in the parking lots, it's easy to see why the decision was made.

Most likely, he picks Amy K as a VP then drops out due to “ health concerns” . Amy picks Warren as VP and crushes trump

Because of assumptions. At this point, that's all this is. We would assume that the virus spreads much more in a Wal-Mart compared to a park.

I live in Alabama, virtually no masks laws in place. Parks are virtually closed yet people are just hanging out in Wal-Marts. It makes no sense.

Let people congregate at a Walmart, let them go to a beach or park or wherever they want. Let them come from NH, NY, NJ or wherever they want.

The hospitals are fine and will be fine. So I don't understand the argument here Matt. Are you saying we can't allow the virus to spread. Is that the new thing?

The only thing I said is that once tourists start going to Maine, there will be more cases and hospitalizations reported (my "it will get worse" comment is related to the length of time it's going to take for the cases reported to drop to zero). That's it.

Cases will and should NEVER drop to zero. The only way we can return to a full functioning economy is if this virus spreads.

And that should be / always have been the goal. But in a controlled manner as to not overwhelm the hospitals and to avoid people at high-risk, or so I was told.

The Walmart near me just closed due to a large outbreak.
