In my opinion anything under $1000 is a huge mistake. The market will correct itself pretty quickly after people inexplicably dump for a huge loss.

Time to unload the SS moments as well? At this point a bloodbath is a bloodbath. The only question is how deep the pool is.

Somethin' like a cross between Teddy Aguhob and Kaboom Mystery Packs. I got that Givenchy denim flow.

Still amazing to watch every time. People were buying at $1300-$1400 and it apparently makes sense to list at $500-$600 less for these weirdos.

I understand the pack flippers that sell immediately without worrying about maximizing profit, but if you just went through the time and money to complete a challenge at likely a loss, why would you panic sell the reward in the first 5 minutes? Who are these people?

Ha, I just refreshed the lebron page for the last 15 minutes. Free entertainment. Even tried getting one at $800.

It's probably the people who were gushing about how much their Lebron was going to be worth before the challenge ended. Then they see the numbers downticking and freak out. They expect the numbers to be 10x so they panic when it's not.

Our challenge rewards have a red star now, that at least 2x the value right?

It's actually a set I am going to hold onto for a while. It doesn't fit the criteria of my normal moments I target but I wanted to have 1 complete set and having it all be all-star level players and /10,000 feels like a safe one to keep longterm.

Hope they take off for ya.

I think I'll hold mine for another few days just to get a feel on what the market is doing. At this point the margins are irrelevant since most of my stuff is down at least 50-70%.

Looks like no one is paying for high serial #s. Lowest one was ~#150 for $2.2k. A few other three digit have sold but nothing double digit yet.

These should settle slightly higher than the 15k of each and then move with the market. Probably safe to sell if they are already there unless you think the market is moving up anytime soon. I am probably just going to hold until the playoffs and see what happens.

Yeah, diamond hands here too. I'm still way up from my buy-in, so no complaints here. Plus, the checklist for Bron had all the biggest names. So if they keep going down it'll just a microcosm of the market as a whole.

Great. Can't list moments right now. Probably going to cost me a substantial amount.

Correct, this did happen the other way around a few weeks ago. Not sure why they don't just shut down the marketplace sooner but looks like they finally did.

The actual (physical) hats are sold out but it looks like there are still enamel pins available. Not going to link cos this is a TopShot thread, but people out there can do their research/Gsearch.

I think the buried metaphor (hat on hat) comes across, though. Marketing commentary/peanut gallery continues from me...

Is there more of an appeal with something physical and tangible alongside an NFT? What retains the fan appeal? And what would a closer partnership with the inevitable opening of arenas and venues do for the platform?

It's become clear the special Moments Post-Challenge take a steep dive afterwards. Once it common knowledge and there is a floor for a specific player depending on run, prices probably wont be so high in the future. I'll be buying a LeBron Challenge here once they fall under $1k. It should only take a few hours. I thought about the All-Star one but the action is like watching a pre-game warm-up.

Feature adds: some would characterize it as "putting a hat on a hat". You might not be able to overemphasize scarcity just by looking for novel ways to punctuate their exclusivity.

Tangibly, the hat pictured is sold out, but we could take the idea and make our own (see: Zion x Slam) or buy it at an inflated price on the secondary market (presumably, a knockoff is probably available on AliExpress/Wish/Amazon Marketplace).

But with TopShot the presumed innovator, isn't it on them to, y'know, widen the brim, improve the wicking material, and make the buyers feel like their collectibles investment is more than just a garden-variety baseball hat?

Maybe we'll see it soon! Or, in 12-18 months.

Happy to mint a little bit of inspiration! Here's a Hollywood Montrose rookie. (At first I thought the sunglasses were from BTTF II, but it looks like a colorwave/variant.)
