Again did really well on the gem rate. There were some losers (hard to believe how little Coby White and Tyler Herro are worth now), but at $15/card and most of the best cards gemming, still a good order overall.

Not an expert opinion here but believe that is just outside the range of a being eligible for a 10.

Nine is still Mint so I wouldn't stress over it.

Just had a single card express order entered out in Cali on 12/6 pop today.

9 was the pre-grade so I'm not surprised but can't help but be a little bummed. Surface is clean and front centering is great although the back centering is on the lower end of what I've seen tolerated on gem examples when I was doing research. Still a nice grade and should be solid turnaround time.

I just received a bulk order back last week and received a 6 on an Acuna Rookie. I thought maybe I missed some crazy surface issue or something. When I checked it had a absolutely blasted corner that clearly looked like it was dropped. I would never miss something like that when sending in an order. It got damaged by PSA and instead of just issuing a damaged card and reimburse me, they played stupid and slabbed it. I'm out on 50-100 in value, but more than made up in the other cards. I can only imagine if it was a high dollar card I'd be livid.

No movement on my oldest orders. 2/12 TCG in grading. 3/9 sports in Grading. Hoping both can hit assembly this week.

This is the other reason I thought waiting to return other services in 2022 was smarter. They are working to get those $100 per card submission out and the usual holiday slowdown is in full effect. At some point people will speak with their feet and pocket and begin to PAY better prices for other slabs, but until that happens the wait continues. Fortunately I only have a group sub of TCG THAT WAS LOGGED 01/09/2021.

My bulk order that arrived on March 2nd, 2021 has not even entered grading yet some regular orders have. Great work PSA. I hope to get my order back by the summer, which would make a 1.5 year turnaround. The order is made up of vintage hockey which is probably like 0.01% of the backlog.

The time for that to happen was the last 9 months while PSA was on the sidelines. Every company dropped the ball, with maybe the exception of SGC. But not enough buyers care about their slabs, especially on the low end.

Most of the new grading companies have only been around the last 9 months! Tough sledding to try and fill a *huge* void while also starting a company at the same time.

That being said, I have seen A LOT of CSG slabs at the last 2 card shows I have attended. I do live in central Florida though and CSG is near by so that may have something to do with it. I think CSG could definitely scoop up a good share of bulk submissions though once they "re-imagine" their labels. The slabs in hand look very nice, but their labels are often off-center and, of course, most people don't like the "white space" from the larger size. If they had just made those labels look just like their CGC labels it would have went over better. I think they still have a small window to make corrections and be a legitimate alternative to PSA.

CSG is doing very well in the TCG space given their comic book grading business. They are just not that popular in sports.

according to gemrate.com the number of cards to hit the pop report last week were higher than average. I think us in here are just unlucky haha

Yeah, I had a Soto Bowman Chrome damaged during grading: PSA6. Maybe they

are giving the Employees a much needed Holiday break so they can run gangbusters 1st

quarter 2022.

JMTerp Member Join Date: May 2015 Posts: 834	Just had a single card express order entered out in Cali on 12/6 pop today. 9 was the pre-grade so I'm not surprised but can't help but be a little bummed. Surface is clean and front centering is great although the back centering is on the lower end of what I've seen tolerated on gem examples when I was doing research. Still a nice grade and should be solid turnaround time.
