Hopefully he goes off against the Cardinals. Even w the Padres playing horribly over the last month, wild card right there for the taking!

It's Bryce and not even close.

Both are losers on losing teams. Tatis has sucked, bottom of the barrel performance.

I didn't realize 39 HR in 114 games from a 22 year old is sucking

Tatis and Machado have a blowout in the dugout and not a peep? Tatis mania is dying down i guess.

Maybe, but Vlad definitely is having a way better season when you take everything into account. He lost weight, learned a good lesson on work ethic, overcame his mechanical issues from last year and had one of the best 22 year old seasons in the history of the game. Tatis struggled with health, attitude, and fit. He definitely is talented beyond belief but Vlad had a way more successful year and is better positioned going forward IMO. Tatis has the highest ceiling but he needs to stay healthy and make some attitude adjustments.

How dare you say that?

I learned in this thread that the padres don’t have to make the playoffs and tatis doesn’t have to win MVP for his cards to continue to go too da moon.

He is already the face of baseball and the tatis sausage fest will last forever and ever!!!!

How the dynamic between those two develops going forward is far more important than the confrontation itself IMO.
Manny was once the young phenom in Baltimore and may have had veterans help guide him along the way.
There is no advanced analytics for personality as far as I know.
Will be interesting to watch. I hope they can gel because regardless of this year’s disappointment I believe they are well setup to be a winning ball club for the foreseeable future.

Should have happened in the clubhouse, but it is

good to see Machado tell the Padres team leader

know what he thought. Next few games will se how it

plays out. Tatis Jr may be plalying with more shoulder

pain than he lets on, but his teammates would probably know that?

Yep.
If the players teams were reversed, and Tatis was on Tor and Vlad in SD Vlad would be the main story. People wouldn’t hardly notice Tatis.

Default Fernando Tatis Jr

Vlad and Tatis both have crazy ceilings. They are tough to compare though because they are extremely different players. No need to downplay one to elevate the other.

They are 2 of the most exciting 22 years old I’ve seen in a long time, and as a Wax Collector, very happy they both share their RC’s in several Hobby Boxes

Agree to disagree. Batting title in a 47 game season? I hope you’re kidding by putting much weight into that.
