I’ll go wit h 63,000. I hope this set never ends . It’s the ultimate and I bet long term people are going to start realizing just how great it is . I love how the print runs fluctuate.

I agree - sometimes I think about how insane this set will be if it goes for 10 years or more. Even though the print runs dropped precipitously in the first 3 years, I like knowing that the cards I helped make in 2021 will be the harder ones to chase due to those lower print runs. (A larger part of me though is ready to see those print run climb again )

I'll go 44,485, of which one will be mine. Been there since #1. Haven't missed one yet. Glad to still be alive!

I understand Topps not wanting to do parallels on this "pure" set, but could you imagine how the overall print run would increase if, say, 10% of the run merely depicted the same player in a road jersey (or home jersey, whatever's opposite the regular version), and those variations were randomly issued?

And for the subject of #500, whatever big name that is, I'd love it if Jared and Mayumi both did a card of that player (maybe playing for different teams, or road vs. home jersey, to celebrate the occasion

Really glad they don't to parallels or variations on this set. That is likely what would be the end of me collecting it.

I started collecting living set a couple months ago and trying to slowly add the cards I missed starting with the NL West. I’m trying to think of a fun way to sort/store them and am wondering what other people have chosen to do. Right now I have them sorted by team and then by age within that team. Interested to hear other ways!

My guess for the Franco will be 37400

Right now I just have them in a toploader box, in chronological order, but I too would like to display them elsewhere in the future. I like the idea of displaying full teams/franchises at once, or all players released from a World Series winning team, etc. So many ways to collect and display.

Yeah the preliminary numbers are 41744+1484=43,228 but we will wait for official number in the title as they do make adjustments.

I'm amazed every week at the work you both do. Chipper has been long overdue for this set, so it's nice to see him finally make his appearance.

I know you want to leave card no. 500 for Topps to reveal, but can you let us know if you or Seto were the one to complete it? Do you know what card number you're going to be assigned when you receive the reference photo?

Yeah that will certainly change. That's a raw number that does not include bundles and even if you compute that, there have been instances of 10-100 added after it goes into the title. We will wait for the title before announcing a winner.
