Had a question about Mookie's RC prices between the Topps Update and the Heritage High and figure this would be the thread for some expert insight! The HH is running about $80 more than the Topps Update in gem mint graded condition. Is the price difference due to a huge difference in supply/print run between the two products or...? I've read in other threads that, typically, one of the criteria for THE RC card to have of a player should be, amongst other things, available to be pulled from a pack. Wasn't the Heritage High Mookie only available factory set form? Despite that, the HH is running far ahead of the Update rookie? Thanks!

I believe the heritage high autos were the ones that were from factory sets. The non autos were in packs.

Heritage autos and non autos weee only in factory sets. Each set contained one Mookie base.

There’s a lot of both cards, Heritage and Update.

I think there are far fewer HHN's than Update.

The PSA pop report shows just more than 2x more Updates graded.

2014 sealed HH is a lot harder to find than 2014 sealed update if that means anything.

The Chrome Update's are the more scare of all three, and should be compared to the Heritage rather than base Update.

There were no packs that year, it was set only.

Were his Chromes SP'd that year? There's barely any graded between PSA (197) and BGS (90).

They seem wildly undervalued compared to the base Update or HHN.

Retail Mega box release only. (2) packs of Update Chrome per box, (4) cards per pack. They also came with four or five regular Update packs.

I see Eloy is locking down a 6 year extension w/ the White Sox; after Bregman locked down his 6 year extension.

At this rate, Mookie may be the only free agent in the entire 2020 off-season.

After seeing his peers get mega contracts, i'd be very surprised if Mookie doesn't sign an extension sometime this year. The market is now played out so contract negotiations can now focus on realistic value. If Mookie gets off to a hot start, expect an extension sometime before mid season.
