It was a bit disappointing to see Upper Deck not even attempt to get the rookie signatures for series 2, where each rookie's card has their team name in handwriting instead of their name.

In trying to stay with the 1994-95 Collector's Choice theme, I'll share a card that I'd love to know more about where it actually originated from. It's clearly a derivative of the regular base card from the set, but was it actually put out by Upper Deck, or is it an aftermarket production? European or Asian release? If anybody has any more information on this card, or knows of other players being produced like this, I'd love to know more!!! In the meantime, hopefully some can enjoy some of the "ahead of its time" effects on this beauty:

I'm from the UK and 94-95 Collectors Choice were the first packs I remember buying. Opened a ton and have never seen one of those parallels, it's a doozy (reminds me of the topps power boosters from the following year). Also yes those rookie card sigs were a let down.

You're absolutely right that the effects are reminiscent of some of the Topps Power Boosters from 1995-96, good call! I'm 99.99% sure that this didn't come from an American pack of Collector's Choice, but I've heard an unconfirmed rumor that it is from either one of the European releases, or some other European Upper Deck product. I'm not willing to officially call it a Euro-release until somebody can provide more information on it. In my opinion, there's plenty of confusion to go around when on the topic of Upper Deck International releases. I've spent many hours trying to make sense of some of the international release cards and their corresponding checklists on beckett.com when applicable; and still have questions in the area.

Well whatever the hell it is you've got there I'd say it's pretty rare. I take it there are no giveaways regarding the origin on the back small print?

Also forgot to say, amazing buybacks everyone ^^^^^

Nope, no direct giveaways per se, but the UD dot on the back (lower right corner) that is usually holographic, is not holographic on this issue. Not sure that that is a clear indication that it is an aftermarket piece, but it might be. Also forgot to mention that the card is undersized, as this is a standard sized toploader that it's displayed in.
Here's a higher-def scan of the front and back:

Hopefully someone else reading this can shed some light, I always though my gold MJ was the biggest card from the set but I'm intrigued to know if more of these parallels exist. You learn somethin' new everyday!

Agreed, and they are even harder to PSA 10 than they are to photograph!

oh man that power boosters-like CC card is nuts.

And that gold sig MJ has been so up on my wantlist since the dawn of time haha. I have several of the other ones but still haven't procured that one yet. Shame on me!

Scoreboard is not a major brand but I think they did a good job to gather some big names for this set. We have AI ,Kobe, Duncan, Mcgrady, and even Rasheed here. You don't see these big names together in any other set as of now. Although the design is a little bit bold, they have great space to sign then.

The base version doesn't seem to pop up nearly as much as subsets for some reason, took me a while to get mine.

So much goodness going on in here... bright blue 90s autos from KG and AI, SPx Finite, Credentials, Triumvirate, Classic '61, Shoetime... AWESOME!!!

Today's share is not a rare card by any means, but I think that cards with holographic images could be appreciated more if and when they are seen in good light, which doesn't always happen. Here's a great holographic action shot of Admiral dunking on his nemesis Hakeem, that maybe not too many have gotten to see before, since it's likely not lit up very well in most photos or scans:
