Oh no doubt. I'd love to see Luka win MVP this year actually, but it really does come down to record unless a player's stats are just on another level from everyone else. Right now, there are so many players putting up ridiculous stats, it's just crazy. I mean Westbrook has basically been averaging 25 point triple doubles for the last 5 years straight and he will only end up with 1 MVP which is nuts stats wise.

My best guess is that Luka and the Mavs barely make the playoffs this year (which is a HUGE accomplishment btw). After that, the sky is the limit for this kid, just has to find the right teammates to make some title runs. Given that he's only 20 or whatever, he's got plenty of time for that.

Westbrook won MVP as a 6 seed.

No Curry/Durant to compete with this year. His competition is Harden/LeBron/ABC. But if he can somehow carry the Mavs to 47-35 like Westbrook carried the Thunder, he ends up in the conversation. Especially if he averages over 30PPG.

But I have no problem with people being skeptical about his chances. And a lot of times you get the MVP in your second year of dominance, not the first go-around. I just hope he keeps doing what he's doing, gets the Mavs to the playoffs, has a good series or two, and people can talk about the MVP stuff next year.

The only reason Westbrook won with that team record was because he did something that no one thought would ever be possible again. First to average a triple double for a season since 1961-62? That gets a lot of votes. Luka has to do something as equally ridiculous but what could that be for him? Averaging a trip-dub doesn't cut it anymore, since like 3 players almost do that. He isn't going to beat Harden in scoring so his team has to get wins IMO.

Giannis, Harden, and LeBron are a lot to overcome. And that’s okay. The improvements he’s made YoY have been remarkable. And he still has a long way to go.

My take would be:
This year – Doubtful
Next year – Somewhat likely
Year after that – Very likely

If he keeps up what he's doing, and Harden and Lebron get another full year of wear and tear, then I would think he has a very good chance next season. But an almost guarantee would have to be the year after next if he keeps this up.

It’s a very limited Optic Choice parallel. Personally, I think there are only three copies of each player. There were three bids of $5k+. Guess we’ll just have to see if it gets relisted.

For those who collect 90s: I think of Prizm Mosaic as Series 2 (action shots from 18-19 season), and Prizm as Series 1.
