Love it when a plan comes together!

I just completed 47 sketch cards for this series and sent them off. It includes nine double-sized Cinema sketch cards.

Crazy wild stuff! Also just recruited some new sketch artists this and last week, to fill out the sketch program due to overwhelming demand in the survey (we suddenly find ourselves needing about 600 sketches more than we anticipated before the campaign).

I'm determined not to water it down, so i've carefully selected some super talented artists, each of whom is doing less than 25. If we need more, we can go back to some artists, and it'll almost be like getting a new name!

These are the additions, a few of whom have never done official sets before, or even sketch cards at all!

David Brame
Collin David
Brian Barnard
Shane Garvey
Daniel Dahl
John Detrich
Stephen Blickenstaff
Elise Strong
Joan Diwa
Ben Walker-Story

They had pitched an idea for a chase set actually that I turned down, and I felt bad about it. But they were very happy to do some sketch cards. I'd love to see Topps bring them onboard to do a second series of Ugly Stickers!

It’s great to have them part of this set. Hoping they will do a second series of their funny fiends!!

Just secured a sketch artist I'm REALLY excited about, a cartoonist with a very big following on IG, and has never really done anything like this. I think this one has a chance to be the next Katie Cook (I usually am loath to make those kinds of comparisons, never fair to either artist, but I wanted to give a sense of the style to card fans)!

Thanks. I'm trying really hard to live up to past sets, and outdo them.

Received more sketches back this weekend from Jason Kieth Phillips, Russ Maheras, and finished art from Scott Johnson ("Desperate Struggle") and Will Skaar ("Horror of the Swamp King").

Jason Crosby delivered pencils for the next GPK card, and Jason Chalker sent me pencils for "Martian Kill Crew."

I've completed writing 39 of the 42 story cards, and all 42 are formatted. Currently formatting the non story base cards, and it looks like the base set will be 90 cards (more than Occupation).

Getting very close to the finish line!

You’re going to outdo the previous set for sure!

Thanks, I sure hope so. We'll be able to in a few ways, I hope: some print issues that I don't think we'll have this time around (just thanks to learning the first time) as well as some design and typeset issues I had that I can make sure don't happen this time.

So if nothing else, those things will (hopefully) be improved. But SO much goes into each of these sets, it's hard to outdo every element.

It's funny, necessity really is the mother of invention. I was running short on art that nobody had seen on cards, and was searching my old hard drives for something we'd not used yet.

Coming across a folder of development art we commissioned ahead invasion, filled with turnarounds of the insects, I thought, "wow, nobody has seen these, officially yet, they would make cool cards"-- and it was just a matter of coming up with a way of showcasing them in a fun way.

Tom and I will be speaking at the virtual NSU show and I have no idea what we'll talk about. Maybe just our World Series picks.

PLEASE NOTE: we'll begin removing items from the survey next week. Closing down all items shortly after that.

Can you provide us with the items most likely to go off the survey first? I'm considering adding a few more things I didn't select initially.
