As far as the best way to deal with this pandemic? Get a degree in public health then your opinion may matter . Until then I’ll listen to Fauci

You are correct they are in the grocery store, but why are you asking for people to come out to get them when you are telling contractors that they can't get the supplies they need to do a job??

Minnesota has had more deaths by suicide (near 800) during this shutdown than we have had from COVID. I'm sure we aren't the only state that has had this issue either.

You said protesters were spoiled brat kids. Doesn't sound like you were splitting them up into groups. And I didn't comment on Kaepernick becasue he has nothing to do with the conversation.

Not sure about the about the contractor supplies. I was told we ( Virginia) had some of the strictest orders in the country yet the Home Depot nearest me is open. No idea

Not sure why you asked about the media, when there was no mention of it.

People have a right to protest, but let's not be blind. If we're going to protest governors for following guidelines set by Washington, and a president who literally assumed he had total authority...let's not neglect that.

If we fear government oppression enough where we feel the need to strap on and march, don't do it at a JV level. Have some self-worth, go varsity.

Well in Michigan which it what we're talking about the stores have to block off non-essential items like paint, etc. only those items that would be needed in a emergency type situation can be bought. Look it up Michigan is a mess right now.

Because you're ignoring that it all very much is a left/right issue.

Biden has more to gain by being shut down. I would say that much is obvious.

I mention the media because they are not only heavily one-sided, but they have also clearly picked a side when it comes to how covid has been covered. Fear on top of more fear. Stay at home. Etc etc.

I mean, they have already skewed the numbers an insane amount. Might as well add it.

The CDC website (https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/nvss/vsrr/covid19/index.htm) shows that we have 35k deaths from COVID, yet the reported numbers are over 60k because of how much they have manipulated and skewed the numbers. Also, the flu (yes, I know this isn't the flu) hospitalized 68 people per 100k people this last year. COVID has hospitalized 29 people per 100k, yet we are in lockdown for it. This is absolutely asinine at this point.

People aren't going to remain inside. I have already noticed in tenfold in Minnesota. We stay inside for 7 months of the year because of our winters. You aren't keeping people inside when the weather is getting nicer. We have had 60-70 degree weather the past few days and there are more people out now than there normally would be at this point in the year. Basketball courts are jam packed, tennis courts are busy, Walmart is slammed. People are everywhere because we have been forced to stay inside the past two months after winter. People are over it and done with it at this point. I am sure this is a trend nationally. The citizens are going to force the country to be re-opened, and honestly, it needs to be or we are going to be absolutely crippled by the economy which will cause more deaths than COVID will.

Trump's own guidelines for the stay at home / social distancing went to April 30th...yesterday.

Why we're somehow acting like the stay at home orders are some nefarious plot of the left to stand on the necks of citizens is ludicrous.

This is a nationwide issue and all states will react as needed. Be sure, no one likes it. No one.

But it's inane to paint it as some sort of liberal vs conservative issue.

Just because Trump chooses to incite citizens in toss-up states by countering his own administration's suggestions, doesn't make it a liberal/left tactic to oppress the citizenry. He wants to sow chaos, and if history has shown anything...leaders that seek chaos are seeking control.

"Protesting" is most certainly a right, so have at it...just don't forget Washington.

If this hasn't turned into a political issue then what would you call it? The lockdown was put into place to keep hospitals from being overrun. We aren't seeing that at all - in fact, it's the opposite. So what reason has the government (state or federal) given now to keep us in lockdown? Why make nonsensical orders like go to the grocery store, go to the hardware store, go to the gas station, etc... but don't you dare go fishing or let your kid go over to the neighbor's house. And the reason it's a left/right issue is because we see the tightest restrictions coming from Dem. governors and the states that are loosening restrictions are run by Rep. governors.

As far as marching on D.C., fine by me. If I had Trump's ear I'd tell him to pressure every state to open back up. However, I don't have the time or money to do that and I'm sure most of those protestors we're talking about do either.
