Cyber metal seems like it’s nearing a boiling point. I’d still say 97 metal universe is the better buy for the long term as I see them similar with one being an iconic classic... new editions seems like it’s there too I agree but it’s not the best looking card either. All that said best bang for the buck is probably chrome youthquake if you can avoid the green. For low entry maybe the hoops rookie insert with the gold foil? I don’t know?

The SP Holoviews is one of the toughest grades from his rookie year. Only the Members Only Rookie Showcase and Bowman's Best Picks have a lower PSA 10 pop than the Holoviews of his rookie year inserts.

I have been following the 1:36 pack gold rookie insert. Overall odds of hitting one are 1:1080 so it will eventually pick up steam. If it doesn't, it is still a gold.

amazing !! notice if any of your flair high grades had any sort of light minor lines that can be seen in certain lighting ??

No, but for the E-X 2000 Rc, watch out for the 2001 Fleer Platinum insert which is a reprint of the E-X 2000 Rc. It says Fleer Platinum on the top right of the card.

God WTF am I doing? Just bought a Stardate Kobe for $3500. Seller claims everything about the card is flawless (centering, surface, corners, edges), I couldn't see any obvious defects from the pictures. But I doubt its flawless lol, but with the current prices even if it grades a PSA 8, $3500 would be a steal. If by some miracle it grades a 9, I'm to the moon. Unless it crashes in the next month 🤞🤞🤞

I just won a BGS 6 Kobe EX for 735 lol..never thought I'd pay that much for a 6 but grades are Centering and Edges 9 Corners 9.5 and of course surface 5 to drag it down.

I'll never understand it with this card, everyone is so brutal on the surface but it all seems so subjective...I've been staring and reviewing a ton of these, and for some of these with the very low surface sub grades it's hard to truly judge what caused such a low number. Maybe it's just people's crappy photos.

I saw that listing, though I can't make out why it got a 5 surface grade. Come on PSA, hurry it up with my E-X 2000 Kobe Rc. I have 15 total in 2 different submissions lol. I wish you could call them and just upgrade the service level.

Seller literally put an arrow in the 2nd pic showing the wear along his shorts, but you can also see the surface wear beneath the team nameplate and the middle of the top border. That last issue is one of the most prevalent with these, I still have an Iverson I pulled at release and that spot is touched up as well.

Thank you for the input I appreciate it. I have also wondered why it wouldn’t be put with other parallels and refractor types but we will see what they do I guess and I know everyone likes the shiny chrome more but no complaining gota enjoy this ride all we can while we can.

Sorry, I meant I sent in a few different kobe cards. The only other flair I sent in was a showcase row 2, which came back an 8. The class of 96 was a toss in cuz I figured it wouldnt hurt to get it graded lol. It had been sitting in a wall display of like 20 random cards for 20 years

I think the finest is the most underrated kobe card at this point. there is absolutely no reason why its half the price of a basic topps. That being said, I think theyd be roughly equal. Their prices seem to go hand in hand

A friend of mine and I were talking about the stardates from 1997-98 vs 1996-97 last night and cannot wrap our heads around how either are that insane, but besides 1996-97 being the 1st and Kobes rookie year, how the heck are the 1997 ones going for peanuts? i fell in love with that set when i was 8 or 9, shiny and die-cut, i remember paying full book value (yeah...you remember) for the iverson and Jacque Vaughn. I eventually put together the entire set....gorgeous..but like its 1996 counterpart, hardly rare.
