Dolphins are a decent team, but the rest are some of the worst in the NFL. And I think the snow/cold weather favors us more. Lacy has been awful as of late.... Polk and Sproles have done well and with the amount of screens/short throws in our offense vs. the Packers chuck it down field method, I would give the advantage to us if it does snow.

Right now the Eagles are +6......... wow!

In all fairness, outside of the Colts we haven't really defeated anybody super frightening just yet. That's why I really want to beat the Packers this Sunday...like badly...everyone thinks we're a pretty good team but not yet ready to play with the big boys (e.g. Denver, New England, Seahawks, etc...), but I think that a win this week would set a tone that we're a legit contender. In terms of the snow though, I don't know if it would necessarily be an advantage to just us. I think it would be an advantage to both teams, as the Packers are used to playing in the snow and cold, and Philly's O-line is very mobile that will help make some lanes in the run game (like what happened in the Lions game last year).

Thanks man! Yes this will be my second game I've ever seen live as well. I went last year against the Giants, and Barkley played almost the entire game since Vick got injured, and we got killed. Not a good first game to go to haha. Hopefully this one will be better! But yes the environment there is awesome!

Well even though we lost, at least we saw a lot of good play and high snap counts from our first round pick, Marcus Smith.

God, this whole Marcus Smith thing has bummed me out. We could have drafted Bucannon, Ward, Roby etc.... who could have made instant impacts.

LOL yeah I'm sure Chip took Marcus just to "surprise everyone" haha. Not to say his future is doomed, but it's definitely not promising that he has not made any impact whatsoever this season.

Really wish we would find some ways to use Ertz more. I think Eagles fans can agree (and probably even just NFL fans in general) that this guy has the physical tools and abilities to be the next Gronk or Graham. He catches everything thrown his way, and he's going to be special down the road. Unfortunately he hasn't "gone off" like many expected he would before the year started. Celek is taking a lot of his snaps away. Seems like the only reason being is because Celek is a superior blocker, and Ertz gets tossed around a lot when trying to block. If/when he learns how to do that, he will be widely successful. I just wish we could still put him on the field though somehow. If it was my call, I'd say keep Maclin on the outside, move Matthews to take Riley Cooper's spot, and put Ertz in as essentially a slot receiver (kind of like what they do in New Orleans with Graham a lot). That would create some really nice matchups, and he wouldn't have to be relied on so much to block. Just my two cents to get our most talented players on the field

Whats bothering me is that Chip doesn't know how to use some of his offensive weapons. Completely agree with Ertz, they need to run McCoy up the middle and use sproles more in screens...no acrual routes because he can't catch them most of the time.

Any time anybody throws the ball to Riley Cooper it turns into a disaster. Cooper is absolutely terrible

I would like to replace one Cooper for another next season.....Trade up and draft Amari Cooper! Him, opposite Maclin, with Jordan Matthews as well would be unbelievable.

Here's what I have for the playoff projections this year. What do you guys think? This is assuming that the Eagles and Cowboys split the series (which I think is reasonable), we lose to the Seahawks, and we beat the Giants and Redskins. The Cowboys also finish 11-5, but I believe that we make playoffs over them because of our divisional record.

Also, if this scenario did play out, I think this positioning would be the best case for us. I think we'd have a much easier time going farther in the playoffs against the Lions (and then playing the Cardinals if we win that game) rather than the Saints and Packers.

It's appearing more and more like the RG3 era might be just about done in DC. If Gruden cuts him after this season, do any of you guys think that Chip might take a shot at him? I know it's not a requirement, but I really do think that a mobile QB would succeed best in this system. It would be interesting to see if Chip takes a shot at RG3 if he hits the market(especially considering we have no shot at Mariota). I think he would do some really good stuff in our system.

I don't think it's a good fit. RG3 appears to have zero pocket presence and takes too many big hits both in the pocket and running. He definitely has the skill level to do it, but I just don't like the fit.

As for the mobile QB helping our running game, that's simply not true. Nick Foles started the majority of last season and McCoy led the league in rushing. I think our inconsistent O-Line play, teams keying in on him and McCoy dancing too much in the backfield are what's slowing him down this year.

If RG3 were to be released I would guess that Chip would do his homework on him, but IMO RG3 needs to be rebuilt from the ground up almost at this point so he can be comfortable playing football again.....he just looks like he's lost now

New Orleans owns the eagles in the playoffs

Obviously any given Sunday, but from what it looks like right now, as long as we beat either the Seahawks or Cowboys in the next two (or both haha), we should have a playoff spot just about locked in.
