I am fascinated to see what these cards will be worth in 10 to 20 years. I could see them being both totally worthless and exactly like the Pokémon cards going for huge money.

There is no debate that fortnite is this generations Pokémon. The question is, when these 9-18 year olds start getting discretionary income when they are 25-40, what will they buy for their fortnite nostalgic fix? And what are the skins they liked?

Seems like Black Knight, Skull Trooper, Omega, Raven, and Luxe are what the older folks prefer.

When I asked my 14 year old for his all-time favorite top-five skins when he played 24-7 for a year straight, here was his list:

1. Fish sticks
2. Rex
3. Archetype
4. Jonesy
5. Renegade Raider

Interesting stuff.

I have a 14 year old son too and we had a lengthy dicussion about the characters and their rarity.
As far as rarest skins are concerned,the original series which are seasons 1-6 appear to have the rarest skins.
The black knight is the rarest as evident by people selling their fortnite accounts from anywhere from $500-$1000....this speaks volumes.
The next rarest are called epic skins,which were from a haloween series.
Those rare characters are the ghoul trooper and skull trooper.You can also add in the visitor and raven and that's basically your chase characters.
Chapter 2 series 2 is the character sparkle specialist,which i'm told is a rare one too.

I have zero clue whether this stuff will be solid long term,but i have 6 sealed mega boxes put away just in case.
Series one garbage pail kids sealed boxes are around 37k and they were 25c a pack 35 years ago.

Not only pulling it, but 10'ing it is absolutely incredible. I see it on the bay and like the play...this is one where you better get absolutely silly $ now if you move bc you never know what this is going to be 10 years from now.

I definitely struggle to keep things sealed as well. Was able to keep the Mega Blaster sealed for over a year before I ran out of Pokemon cards to open one night. Appreciate you checking the card out!

Going on simply the beauty of the artwork of the cards, my personal favorites in order:
1. 2019 Black Knight #252 (Hologram, not Crystal Shared - Best card in the set, IMO - not that I will be able to afford one)
2. 2020 Ice Queen #184 (Cracked Ice - Best card in the set, IMO)

I also really like the following artwork (no particular order):
1. 2019 Rukus #194 (All of them)
2. 2019 Cuddle Team Leader #258 (Base)
3. 2020 Glimmer #174 (Cracked Ice)
4. 2019 Drift #263 (Holo)
5. 2019 Omega #277 (Holo)
6. 2020 Ultima Knight #186 (Cracked Ice)
7. 2020 8-Ball #147 (Cracked Ice)
8. 2020 (Reloaded) Skull Trooper #273 (Glow-in-the-Dark)

For whatever reason, visually, I like the holos better in the 2019 set and the cracked ice better in the 2020 set.

I was completely unaware that 2019 sealed boxes & packs had taken off until I saw a Twitter post showing a recent PSA 10 sale. Needless to say, I did some hunting and now I have lots of Fortnite boxes/packs from 2019 & 2020 incoming. If condition is ok, I plan on grading. I love the Crystal Shard/Cracked Ice cards, but I'm not touching 2019 Mega boxes at current prices, especially when condition seems to be a concern for many of you opening this product.

Yeah I did the same thing about a month ago. Bought a bunch and I still think people are becoming more and more exposed. These have some big potential. I did rip a few boxes and it was a pretty boring break. Grading the big cards is where the money is at.

For those that opened the fat/value packs, how has condition been? From what I've seen in YouTube breaks, Legendary, Epic, and Holofoils are in the middle of the pack, which historically bodes well for condition.

I've opened up a decent amount of series 1 and 2 packs, and they were all in the shape you'd probably expect. Some dinged corners here and there, but you can definitely pull some gems.

Here are a few more favorite skins that I've collected recently (Ark and Velocity cracked ice, Glow Optichrome).

I can’t speak for everyone else, but I’m jealous! Congrats! That Holo and the Ice Queen Cracked Ice are my favorites and the ones to chase, IMO (obviously, the Black Knight Crystal Shard, too).

Both are just all-around bad ass looking cards that should hold up over time pretty well.

Think that being USA def helps a bit. I caved and sold one of my base 252 9's for 1k...have 4 more at PSA so figured take some gains during the latest surge.

I think USA will be more appealing because the ice pattern looks much better, but I really respect how hard it is to find Italy stuff in good condition. I could see both being big for those two different reasons.

On a side note...my buddy flipped his BK shard over today and it is...Brazil??? Have not seen one Brazil FN card to date.

The first thing I tend to notice on the Optichrome cards is the raised "Fortnite" lettering on the front - just got a couple of mine back from PSA.

Thanks will check them I'll take pictures as well, the only difference I noticed was that one of the cards don't have the lines in the background like the other

I think there are still some hidden gems to be found in the Fortnite/Panini Reloaded Series (between Series 1 and Series 2 and only released in Europe in small numbers) that most haven’t noticed yet.
