Legit dumb question, I didn’t buy any of this last year. Low ordered sets, do they just send Parallels? or what happens to all the “extra parallel” cards.

This is the first year of parallels...I assume the parallel is an additional card besides the base set. I’m hoping Topps does a grand gesture of throwing in 2-3 parallels per set. A guy can dream.

I’m looking forward to it for sure. I reached for 10 sets a few extra times just for that. Should be nice on these low PR teams. I wish I had bought more.

Ok here is what SHOULD exist IF Topps does this correctly.

So when all of those /99, /49 and /25 parallels show up for these sets you at least know what should have been in your set if they were printing to order

Baltimore 78 sets 1/1-4/5 for everybody and 3 cards 5/5
Boston 127 sets 1/1-2/10 for everybody and 7 cards 3/10
Tampa 101 sets 1/1-5/5 for everybody and 11 cards 1/10
Cleveland 104 sets 1/1-5/5 for everybody and 14 cards 1/10
Detroit 65 sets 1/1-3/5 for everybody and 5 cards 4/5
KC 60 sets 1/1-3/5 for everybody
Minn 109 sets 1/1-1/10 for everybody and 4 cards 2/10
Houston 210 sets 1/1-8/10 for everybody
Oakland 150 sets 1/1-4/10 for everybody
Seattle 84 sets 1/1-4/5 for everybody and 4 cards 5/5
Texas 51 sets 1/1-2/5 for everybody and 6 cards 3/5
Miami 34 sets 1/1-1/5 for everybody and 4 cards 2/5
Washington 144 sets 1/1-3/10 for everybody and 9 cards 4/10
Milwaukee 75 sets 1/1-4/5 for everybody
Pitt 70 sets 1/1-3/5 for everybody and 10 cards 4/5
Stl 136 sets 1/1-2/10 for everybody and 8 cards 3/10
Az 52 sets 1/1-2/5 for everybody and 7 cards 3/5
Col 61 sets 1/1-3/5 for everybody and 1 card 4/5
SD 211 sets 1/1-7/10 for everybody and 3 cards 8/10
SF 85 sets 1/1-4/5 for everybody and 5 cards 5/5

In the past they've produced auto to 99 even though not enough sets were bought to call for this number. I'm assuming they will do the same for these parallels and do something with them.

By this logic, the /10s may be more desirable than the /5s? St. Louis, Oakland are a couple examples.

I'm thinking that for these situations they might only make 2-3 of the /5s in order to keep them more rare then the /10s.

I bought 3 of each of the following teams...

Reds - /330 - autos of: Nick Senzel, Aristides Aquino RC & Joey Votto - $69.99 per
Mets - /647 - autos of: Jeff McNeil, Pete Alonso & Jacob deGrom - $89.99 per
Phillies - /496 - autos of: Bryce Harper, Rhys Hoskins & J.T. Realmuto - $79.99 per
Braves - /449 - autos of: Ronald Acuna Jr., Austin Riley & Mike Soroka - $79.99 per
Angels - /431 - autos of: Shohei Ohtani, Mike Trout & Tommy La Stella - $249.99 per
Yankees - /854 - autos of: Aaron Judge, Gleyber Torres & Gerrit Cole - $119.99 per
White Sox - /551 - autos of: Eloy Jimenez, Luis Robert RC & Lucas Giolito - $79.99 per
Blue Jays - /649 - autos of: Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Bo Bichette RC & Cavan Biggio - $84.99 per
Astros - /210 - autos of: George Springer, Yordan Alvarez RC & Yuli Gurriel - $79.99 per

I am honestly shocked at how low these numbers are.

Feels lower than last year, although I haven't looked them up.

thats waaaaaaayyyyy too much work for them

They are going to print them ALL. /99 /49 /25 /10 /5 /1 and ship some random amount of them out. Probably wont even ship all the 1/1.

They are PRINTERS NOT COLLECTORS.

It would be awesome if they did that as I bought one of the 34 lonely Marlins sets! Go Marlins if everything gets back to normal! Hope everyone stays safe!

Parallel subjects noted on the subject list of the RTOD sets...only the best players get cards...not all 15.

Not happy with this at all. Only reason I bought 10 sets of the Diamondbacks was to try to get parallels of most of the team. If I had known it was only Ketel Marte I would have only picked up a set or two. We have a few rookies on our team this year and I especially wanted parallels them (particularly Zac Gallen).

In fact, my entire purchase would have been different. I picked up some teams that I thought would short print in hopes that a team collector would be looking for more of the parallel cards and I could sell them the player's they hadn't gotten

You need to have a Michael Jordan #45 jersey ready for the moment when your account is unfrozen. “I’m back” lol.

so now anything that has a print run of 41 or fewer sets gets parallels of 25,10,5,1

anything with a print run of 42-90 should just have parallels of 49,25,10,5,1

anything with a print run of 91+ will have 99,49,10,5,1

anybody want to bet that waaaaaaayyyyyyy more /99 get packed out than there should be

C’mon now guys. I think it’s a little silly to expect that much extra work from Topps for this set. Also consider something like that is undoubtedly going to push back their release time significantly. Think about the price and the fact they’ve already added something extra. I didn’t interpret it that way at the time but looking at it again through your point of view I can definitely understand. I just never expected that much extra stuff and was honestly very happy about these extra parallels this year. If anyone is still unhappy about it I will happily buy you out at cost and cover the shipping as long as they are still sealed - I’m not buying your scraps, if you lose out on a hit that’s life - but hey it could be worse. I’m pretty sure Topps had no bad intentions. Can we calm down a little and relax? It’s Easter Sunday for Christ (pun intended) sakes lol. Let’s breathe. Everything will be OK.

Bought Yankees, Jays, and White Sox. Happy I have a better shot at Bichette and Robert, but would’ve liked all my Yankees to have parallels. Not a big deal for me.
