I do anything and everything I can within the scope of my capabilities.

House/car/electronic/personal repair: I'll at least try or research how-to.

Been like that since I was a child. Therapeutic for me and gives me great satisfaction. I'm a man; man.

I used to. I got pepper spray on my scalp once and couldnt get it all off so I shaved my head. My mom must have spent time flipping me as a baby, because I found I had a perfect shaped head. Just beautiful! So I kept it shaved for a while. Also I did have a flowbee that i got at a goodwill for $9 but quickly flipped it for $200

Shaved head myself for the first time when I was 22.That was 1991.Been shaving it every 2 weeks since.Never have really even thought about hair loss as I age....no one will notice any difference.I also own a tree removal business so hair and sawdust dont mix. Will pay someone for any electrical problem.

Joshua Brown posted something on LinkedIn today that reminded me of this thread. I don't mind paying for someone else to do something if they are both good at it and reduces my unenjoyable burden.

"I’ve been observing the mentality of wealthy people for twenty years and one thing I can tell you for a fact: They don’t want free s***. ⁣

Because there’s no such thing as free - free comes with obligations and strings attached and guilty feelings. Free stuff comes with an unspoken obligation to reciprocate. Free services are annoying and unmanaged and end up costing you more in time and aggravation. ⁣

The wealthy mindset is to spend dollars where they can free you from aggravation, mistakes and delays. ⁣

Wealthy families aren’t looking for the best price on an okay version of something. They’d prefer to pay a fair price on the best version. And they’ll gladly pay a premium where it counts: Health, wealth and legal advice. ⁣

Adopting this mindset now, on your way to #wealth, will free up time and energy that you can put to more productive use. Say no to “free” and you can say yes to yourself."

I'd pay to have someone take my kid to 6 lacrosse games.

This 100%. I’m 36 now and next time I move, I’m hiring someone to do it. It’s quicker, pain free, and usually done better as well. The only issue now is, what’s excuse do I use when friends ask me to help them move?

You could be honest. Tell them you’re lazy, not a very good friend and have better things to do.

Your kid picked a great sport to play.

It is also very enjoyable to watch.

I'm not saying I've done it. If I was going to do it, I would pay someone. Probably combat rates. I would stack up my back pelt against anyone on here. I am harrier than an Italian guy in HS whose nickname was "The Rug."

I talked to my dog poop guy yesterday as I happened to be at home. He seemed happy with his life.
