Opened 3 Target retail blasters...worst boxes I've ever opened. No base rated rookies and doubles in some packs. Only pro was of the orange lasers I did get, three were rated rookies and one of those was an auto of Scottie Lewis.

Sorry your break didn't go as you'd hoped. From a total outsider's perspective (haven't watched breaks or broken any myself), it seems like you beat the odds with three rookie orange lasers including an auto. But again, I may be clueless. And if those three weren't the right rookies, doesn't necessarily make things much better.

Sheesh, thanks for that info. Really weird that Panini would do a rookie orange laser per blaster rather than a base rated rookie and keep the orange lasers as more of a "hit" but I guess any semblance of unnumbered parallel value has been totally shot and put to death by now.

Same. Still in stock too...I wish they'd sell out so I'm not tempted to buy more.

Getting zero RR base is crazy as that’s really what this product is about. |

I opened about 6 of these blasters so far and they’ve all been consistent with 5 or 6 base rated rookies and 1 orange laser rated rookie per box. I thought The Rookies insert was more rare, because I haven’t pulled one of those yet, but it seems like maybe I was just unlucky with the collation in my boxes.

I wonder how the Megas will rip. Hoping they put more autos in those than blasters.

So if I’m reading this correctly you’re not even guaranteed 1 rated rookie per pack anymore in blasters? It was 2 per pack last year. Why is anyone even buying that watered down trash?

Yeah, blasters definitely are not very rookie heavy unfortunately. Seems like they watered down the rookies in Hoops blasters as well this year - last year had 2 per pack and now there’s only one this year. Fat packs are much better for Rated Rookies - you’ll get 4 in each pack. So you can open 1 blaster or 3 fat packs for about the same price and you’ll get roughly the same number of total cards, but you’ll get 12 rookies from the fatties and only about 5-6 from the blaster.

Grabbed a couple of Target blasters and man were they rough! Still fun to have something to open though.
Wasn’t expecting to get an auto in each and am a Caruso fan so I’ll take it.

An auto in each blaster is far from rough! Def beat the odds

True was hoping I’d get some more decent rookies beyond Mobley, but could have been worse!

Well this should be fun, it appears PSA doesn't know how to label the Panini mishap on the card stock with the Marvels inserts this year, and we're gonna have a slew of these incoming for sale along with screwed up population reports. This should be just a base net marvels.

So I finally sent in a bunch of the Marvels I had been sitting on to PSA, and got (kinda) close to full sets of PSA 9 and PSA 10. Centering and quality overall from this set were horrendous.
342 total 283 not worth sending (83%) 59 graded by PSA 21x PSA 10 (6%) 31x PSA 9 6x PSA 8 1x PSA 7 Overall the POP report is really low, I suspect for the same reason I didn't send in the rest. Anyway, I'm at 13/20 for the set of PSA 10s and 16/20 for the set of PSA 9s, not sure if I should try going after a full set in one grade, or just liquidate everything. PP Golds are in another sub that hasn't come back yet, and zero of the purples were worth sending in. Anyone else collect these year to year? |

I'm not going after the whole set, but I wanted to get a gold of Shaq since it's the first year he was in the set. I guess I should consider myself lucky. I bought this raw on eBay and submitted myself.
![]() I also picked up purple's of Lebron, Zion, and Shaq but they didn't fair so well. Shaq Purple PSA 9 Lebron Purple PSA 8 Zion Purple PSA 8 |
