Have my volume at 3 on the Vizio.

A.S. weekend has been used as ambient ASMR therapy for me the past few years. Nothing more.

Good to see Peyton Siva get limb lengthening surgery and return to win the dunk contest.

Inspiring.

What a terrible question. Nothing worse than addressing the elephant in the room in the most awkward way

That was in such bad taste…I can’t believe she told him that Reggie and Wade were talking smack on the dunk contest. Yeah it wasn’t the best but let the guy enjoy his win. He definitely had the best dunks of the night by far.

That was a bad dunk contest... not because of Obi... he put on a legit performance.

The rest of the field was bad.

Just have the 3pt contest and then the game. Rest of this is trash.

You wouldn't be there anyway if that's your take. People know what this is when they buy their tickets. It's an All-Star pre show during the NBA's vacation. It's not the Olympics or NBA Finals. It's a bunch of goofy contests that don't mean anything, but on a 14 degree night in Cleveland in the middle of February it's a change of pace for anyone who wants to watch or the locals to go downtown and see something that comes to town once every 25 years. We've already seen every dunk imaginable so that part will never be original again. The other contests are what they are. Can they hit a 3 pointer? Can they throw a ball through a target? There's not a ton anyone can do to rejuvenate a series of skills contests. The Rising Stars game was a nice change of pace with the 4 teams. The skills contest was my favorite part but they should add a few more teams. If the dunk goes back to the old days where you have a 2 minute "showcase" that would be fine but we won't see anything new. If it's not your cup of tea then don't watch.

At this point, I have to imagine that this and tickets to events like this are simply business expenses for C suit execs or IG/TikTok LLC holders.

The number of fans consuming this in person is shrinking by the year. Being present there is to only be seen. That’s my take

You're right. There's literally like 15 concerts in Cleveland tonight after the event. The All-Star Saturday event is equivalent to pre-gaming and then everyone will go to their clubs with their VIP tickets or whatever to watch whatever concert they paid for and drink overpriced liquor lol. It's just a big party and every city gets their crack at it a few times each century.

The commentary was better than the dunk contest itself. I think, at this rate, start the night with the dunk contest. Nobody with any stature wants to do it. Every 10 or so years we get a good contest.

It's not hard to figure out... Hodges shot 21/25 in his famous first round performance. KAT just shot 21/27 in the second round today. Hodges' performance was better but it's still pretty impressive that KAT did what he did as center.

Scrap the dunk contest again. That was a damn travesty. It hasn’t been relevant since J-Rich won it last.

Feel like the WNBA would have put on a better dunk contest. The NBA gets sadder each year

Aaron Gordon and Zach Lavine put on a good show in 2016.

Dunk Contest was trash. You'd think dunking the basketball had suddenly gone stale the way these events unfold each year. If the A listers don't want to participate bring in some talent that at least acts like they give a F*&^. G leaguer's, kids from Drew League & Rucker Park, street ballers extraordinaire. Have them go up against the NBA's best, make it more competitive and fun for the players and the fans. I get that it's all star weekend but whatever it was I witnessed last night was not all star caliber.

Dunk contest has been losing momentum for years now. Only so many ways to dunk a basketball. I watched with my sons so, for what it was, we enjoyed it.

Vince Carters year was the high water mark.

Absolutely. The interviewers question was the thing that was cringe

I’d like to see them go to an every other year rotation of a 2v2 tourney and traditional Saturday activities.

Why don't they have a HORSE (or WOKEN, or whatever word they want to use) competition? You'd probably get guys like Steph to do it.

They tried HORSE for a couple years and it seemed to bomb. KD Won both times
