Why do people think Alcaraz will have autos in Topps Chrome tennis? I thought it was an exclusive deal with NetPro.

The website uses the term "exclusive" in a few different spots to put that idea in your head, but the only thing I've been able to find is that it's Alcaraz's first trading card deal and it's "officially licensed".

I agree that Emma has been on a downward trajectory, but she has a major and people (not me) love her enough to spend serious money on her cards.. I personally like Iga and understand she dominated until Wimbledon and has 2 majors, but the women's field is weak right now and she's been in a slump since Wimbledon. I don't see her selling as well as raducanu just based on marketability - think hingis vs Kournikova.

Sales starting to just trickle now, but not much more to go. A sale may be needed for a final push but I imagine they aren't in a hurry with the US Open coming up.

Yeah, I'd imagine as he advances through the US Open more will sell. If he makes it deep, they'll sell out at some point.

The interesting point is that all the retro option sold out within 24 hours of the release. That coupled with the fact that majority of the high-dollar items are well over 60% sold with a high price point to begin with shows the demand. Was lucky to buy each of the retro options and a few others before it sold out.

I will say, "waiting" for a Topps Chrome checklist which it seems clearly won't be released until 2023 at this point, won't seem to make a difference on the prices the longer this holds out.
