I don't get to see a lot of NYG games, but after watching last night I don't get all of the Daniel Jones hate. The guy looks fairly good considering they literally have no RB or running game.

My biggest knock on him last night was ball placement. He was making good decisions and reads, he wasn’t late or slow, but he wasn’t putting the ball in optimal position for his receivers. A little low, a little behind, etc.

Didn't you watch Hard Knocks?

Giants management said they don't need their $40m QB handing the ball off to an expensive running back. As far as they are concerned, Jones is on his own out there to sling away without a true RB threat.

Then, next off-season, after NOT having a true RB threat to keep the defenses honest about run v. pass, they'll decide on Jones as a passer and if he's their man at QB long-term.

Sounds like blasphemy from an Eagles, but I feel for Giants fans - their front office is so dysfunctional.

Fortunately, that same dysfunctional front office was dumb enough to allow themselves to be featured on Hard Knocks, so if I'm the owner they're all gone in the off-season. Everyone down to the interns - outta there.

Pretty much the DJ and Giants we’ve come to know and love last night..

Jones is a good player. He’s not an elite one. He’s a good decision maker and can run an efficient offense. He’s not inaccurate but he’s not precise (as JeremyNick pointed out). He doesn’t take chances but he also doesn’t execute big time throws. Previous to this year he was an elite runner for a QB. That may have gone away with the ACL tear. Basically he’s right in the middle of the pack as far as an NFL QB should be. He’s not a top 10 guy but he’s certainly not a career backup.


For the game last night. Giants left big plays on the table. Two under thrown deep balls and some very crucial drops from the WRs as well. The Cowboys receivers made all of their contested catches. It was the difference in the game.

It's amazing to see all the Daniel Jones trolling going on today.

He didn't play terribly last night. Not great, but not bad either.

People are just miserable trolls that like to try and punch down at everyone and everything, knowing that only 1 team can finish the season on top, then half of them figure out another way to made excuses to punch down on them.
