Definitely not too late to keep buying Luka. Its early in the season. Bought a Red ice this morning.

I did the exact same lol been stocking up the past few weeks and yes I paid more than at the beginning of the season but EVERY single auction for the exact card goes higher the next time one gets listed.. This is applied across the board

Picked up the Optic Holo Auto @ $625

I hit the BIN on the Luka Doncic Copper /60 PSA 10 @ $525, two weeks later last one just sold for $1100 =) .

Pink Disco Auto /20 @ $800 (Dont like that its a sticker but it will go up nonetheless!)

Bought the Zebra Select Luka @ $600 - Will see if that was a good move or not.

18-19 Prizm Luka PSA 10 blue #/199 sold for $3150 (and to think people were saying my BGS 9.5 blues were not worth the 2k value I had lol) I can beileve that but a Optic holo PSA 10 for $1800-2000 just doesnt seems believable hope to get the few I sent in for grading back so I can sell them and buy more serial numbered prizm

Why is a Prizm Silver PSA 10 worth more than 1/3 of a Prizm Blue when there are more than 25x as many raw copies out there?

somewhat. parallels will always have a niche audience but for most people, they can't afford or don't care to have more than one high end card for a player. since silver is the staple, most just get their silver and don't delve into the rainbow. I'm probably gravitating that way as I have entirely too much stuff and it's barely fitting into the shoeboxes I have. I think for PC I just need a silver 10, an RPA, and a non patch auto for each player and I'll feel like I'm set

Based strictly on the amount of cards graded it certainly seems like there are almost 3 times the amount of Walmart to Target.

I predict the Contenders optic autos will be the big ones to chase in the years to come for Luka, much like the Contenders autos were the same for Mahomes. Maybe not so much the variations, but the regular colored tickets autos.

Partially disagree. The staples will prevail long term- NT, Immac, Prizm, Optic. Contenders's status prevails in football, but not in the bkb world. They don't always crossover and there's just too many variation. Blue and Gold will do well. Again this is all relatively speaking,and just my opinion.

The Luka Contenders Optic autos look great esp with the in-game photo. But overall I agree. Crossover isn't guaranteed.

Just like the way Prizm isn't king in football.

I'll throw this out there to stir some conversation (disclaimer I own a good amount of high end Luka accumulated since last season).

Given the unbelievable start that Luka has, and the explosion in his cards, who here thinks that from a hobby perspective, this is sustainable? Better put, in 3 months, when Zion returns, will Luka's cards be higher or lower than they are currently? He's completely defied the 'sophomore slump' that occurs 99% of the time in the hobby. Curious to hear thoughts on this.
