Was it good wrestling? I don’t know. You guys do

Raw on Monday night was an absolute labor because all of it sucked

Because he won his match against Cody? Yeah, we've seen this story before, Cody gets his ass kicked by someone (Brodie Lee) goes away to do his game show and then comes back and gets his win back, which kills the other guys momentum. I'd be shocked if this doesn't happen again.

Did anyone check to see how well Juventud moved and executed his moves in the ring before just having him show up? Damn he was rough in a lot of spots there.

Womens division is still pretty lacking when Red Velvet is brought out to challenge the champion. Velvet is going to feel like the heel in that match, because the fans will solidly be behind Britt.

I thought that Miro match lasted a bit longer than it needed to. But he still looked dominate for the most part.

Anyone looking forward to that possible Omega/Christian match? Just seems like it would be very underwhelming, don't think the Christian signing has gone as well as they had hoped.

Just a random thought, Luke Gallows is one of the worst big men the sport has seen in some time. Clumsy and nothing he does looks impressive.

And they said Rampage will have a 4 man announce team? WHY? Jericho, Taz, Excalibur, and Mark Henry? Thats just too many people, but we'll see how it goes.

It looks like they're already killing Page's momentum. It made no sense to have that match and move Christian to the top.

He's a former WWE guy that's all AEW knows how to push for the most part.

People fall all over AEW when all they can do is use guys who WWE let go.

This narrative is getting annoying.

Besides Miro, every single one of their champions have never been with WWE.

3 of their other biggest stars, orange cassidy, Darby alllin and hangman page all never been with WWE.

Yes they have a lot of old wwe guys as well but what do you expect? They are going to get the best wrestlers they can and WWE had a monopoly with the best talent for 20 some years.

To me the issue is you've got a fan favorite - you surrounded him with guys that are extremely over in the Dark Order - you have a chance to create a huge moment that will go over like crazy at your big PPV and you kill it for a guy that likely won't be around in a year in Christian. I could care less that he was a former WWE guy - it's just a dumb move. I know you want to now hold the title scene open for Punk/Bryan but give your dude that is crazy over his moment. Don't hold off and kill his momentum.

Signing some of the talent WWE has released makes sense and is a great idea, however Cody was the one who said they didn't want to bloat the AEW roster with released WWE talent only to end up bloating the roster with released WWE talent.

Yep. I thought AEW was going to be about give guys who never got a chance a chance. Instead it's just like TNA sign former WWE big names to try to boost ratings.

Ok so I just went on to their website to the roster and out of 125 total people including coaches, and announcers, 24 of them have been signed by WWE and have had a match or were a major part of WWE at one time. (19.2%) I'm taking their roster as signed wrestlers. I'm not counting a person that comes in for a few matches (Zack Ryder) and does not have a full time contract with AEW

Granted there are some on AEW's roster that I don't know if they were signed by WWE developmental and maybe had a dark match or squash match because I don't follow NXT or WWE that closely any more.

Here are the 24 I saw that I know off the top of my head:

Jericho
Baker DMD
Christian
Miro
FTR
Hardy
Black
Mark Henry - Announcer/Coach - might end up wrestling
Big Show -Announcer/Coach - might end up wrestling
Andrade
Dustin Rhodes
Cody Rhodes
Jake Hager
Moxley
Brodie Lee - Deceased
Pac
Shawn Spears
Sting
Tay Conti
Billy Gunn – Coach/PT Wrestler
Vickie Guerrero – Coach
Arn Anderson – Coach
JR – Announcer
Taz - Announcer/Coach/Faction Leader

Now 18 of those 24 have had a match on AEW (75%) and 1 has passed away, which means only 23 are currently active on AEWs roster. (18.4%)

That doesn't mean that Paul Wight and Mark Henry won't have a match here and there, but so far they haven't.

So I don't see how people are saying they are signing all of WWEs released talent.

We have yet to see The Iiconics, Braun Strowman, EC3, Sarah Logan, Curt Hawkings, Mike and Maria Kanellis, Curtis Axel, etc show up yet.

Now that's not saying they might not sign some once the non compete is up (Wyatt, Strowman.....maybe others)

But to me it's still a very low number of ex WWE people in the company.

Shhh cant use logic. Already had this argument with the same moron several pages ago.

And i doubt any of the other names you listed are popping up. Logan is pregnant or just gave birth, Kanellis' are in ROH, Hawkins in TNA , Axel disappeared, Strowman wants too much $$

Although i guess you can add another name as Ruby Soho (Riott) has signed

I actually thought Dynamite was actually kinda meh to be honest.

The Jericho/Juve match was just bad. There were a few nice spots, including the finish, but definitely sloppy.

The trios match was a fun throwaway. 2.0(EverRise) are absolutely hilarious, especially the Sting spot. Dont know much about Daniel Garcia, but he looked good and word is hes a top tier technician.

Cage beating Blade was expected. Not a bad match, just expected outcome and slightly long imo

Miro continues to look dominant, minus the botch on selling the ddt.

Bunny vs Leyla was, passable. I think Hirsch has the tools to be a star in the future. But this was kinda slow and slightly sloppy.

Black destroying Cody was fine, but again expected as they all but telegraphed it with Cody returning to Go Big Show or whatever. Match was definitely solid. Couldve done without the table bump though. It looked nice, and Blacks kick/knee looked great! But you could tell it wasnt enough force for Cody to go flying n he basically threw himself.

I dunno what to think of the DO/Page split, i was confused. Makes sense Page wants to deal with it on his own. But im also pretty sure he wouldn't want his friends to let him get beat down 5 on 1

Super easy 2 hours to watch

Looking forward 1 hour on Friday and hopefully no overkill

Was not too excited for this week with not the greatest card but man did this end up being a great show. Opening match was one of the best I’ve seen in a while

It’s just fun to watch

The stories make some sense even if that matches aren’t spot on (again I have no idea… I’m super casual… I thought Hogan was good because he entertained me)

I tried to watch RAW on Monday.

The first match was more exhausting than these entire 2 hours

I got to ask, is Christian going to win the Impact belt? I mean, how are they going to sale Christian and Omega meeting back to back? on Friday and then at All Out.. I can see Christian beating Omega Friday and a story line where Punk takes his place at All Out.

Another WWE Fan boy.. You can tell how well AEW is doing when they invade this and take shots at AEW.

BTW, Did Paul Wright wrestle in AEW yet?

I could see Christian winning on Friday...

Gives the new show some buzz, makes it look like he could do it again at the PPV...

He can always take the Impact title and disappear from AEW, go hang out at Impact and help the young talent over there...

I think Christian loses and they do a “fake injury” type angle where he isn’t healthy enough to compete at the PPV. Then he reveals his surprise replacement as CM Punk

But are they really going to put Punk in a title match right away? He would HAVE to win if they did that, and not sure if they want to end Omega's reign yet. Unless they plan on just prolonging the inevitable Page vs. Omega match even more, which is the match that makes the most sense for Page's eventual title win.
