Everyone’s answer will vary on this. Everyone has different goals and risk tolerances.

Personally I tend to stick with stocks. There’s a lot of info available to everyone these days. Makes it a bit easier to find the winners. Nothing wrong with index funds or etfs. Hell I own BUZZ. I guess I do have them as well.

There will be a lot of answers to this question. None of them will necessarily be wrong but the important part to remember is to stick to your plan and what works for you. What works for me won’t work for everyone else and others styles won’t work for me. That’s the beauty of the game!

The dollar starting to curl up a bit, could be an encouraging sign if it continues. Fund re-balancing for month/quarter-end probably also having an impact recently.
You and me both. This isn’t the time for many swings unfortunately.

I'm much more of a novice than a lot of people here in full disclosure but here is what I have currently to give you an idea:

VIG - Vanguard Dividend Appreciation ETF (Exchange-Traded Fund)
VYM - Vanguard High Dividend Yield ETF
USA - Liberty All-Star Equity Fund
PGTAX - Putnam Global Technology Fund
HD - Home Depot
ENB - Enbridge
CMO - Capstead Mortgage Corp.

The top four are ETFs based on a certain type of company, like PGTAX is all tech stocks (Microsoft, PayPal, Adobe, etc.). All of mine except PGTAX pay a quarterly dividend which is nice to get some passive income.

I do what all the under-$1b-in-AUM do. A mix of both because at the end if the day you still need to beat the benchmark. If you don't beat the benchmark, people won't see value in the service you offer.

Sitting here looking at Shake Shack, Cheesecake Factory, Texas Roadhouse, things I was in and sold vs. their current valuations. My small mind can't wrap around the idea.

I get crushed in this sector every time. If I open in this sector, sell. Fast.

Mutual funds/ stocks/etfs

Don’t be too focused on expense ratios, I mean if you can get a good fund for low fees by all means do it. I follow managers so if they have a good track record or returning better than the market by say 5-6% and I have to pay an extra .25-.50% in fees I’ll do it. Don’t be too heavy vested in one sector. Dollar cost average.

what are your thoughts on what happened to VIAC?

GSX is a zero. funny to see the garbage go down for once.

if wework gets a 9 billion valuation, imagine what other SPAC garbage funds or indexes will be stuck with. tons of money juicing up pure garbage. robo air taxis lol or maybe a company that sends you hats in the mail and you can keep the ones you like next. pretty much done with SPAC and nutty valuations haha.

my only focus is on CVM puts now. hopefully i can crank up some offense around april 14th.

A lot of that stuff has taken an absolute beating. I got out of all my crazy PE stuff on one of the first bounces and was very fortunate. Only non profitable company I still hold is DKNG.

Added GRBK this week.

7.5x this years earnings I believe. Similar growth to other large cap home builders and trades at a discount. Very happy to see the rally into close from all of them. This one finished with its 2nd highest volume day of the year and there wasn’t earnings or any news on the day.

You aren't kidding. I don't follow it because of the PE.

Horribly overpriced and priced to complete perfection. If it falls under $500 we buy calls.

ROKU, ZM, PTON, PLUG.

So many near 50% drops.

Question for you chart wizards.

I know a common strong bull pattern is the 3 white soldiers but happens to signal the end of a downtrend.

What if it's far into an uptrend and the 3rd stick sets a new 52wk high. Still a strong buy signal, no?

Not always, check the RSI too. Obviously things can stay overbought for awhile but they don’t forever.

Oh damn I hadn’t checked that chart in awhile. Yikes.

I should add all of these to a separate watch list and check them over time.

I would be willing to bet most won’t touch their highs for a looong time.

This stock is ITW.

The last couple times it broke 70 RSI it just continued upwards.

I'm experimenting with some scripts on TradingView and everything seems to indicate the uptrend is continuing.

I'm a buy and hold type guy but trying to teach myself how to swing trade. I opened a position at $227 and was planning on selling at $240.

Wow, I had set a trigger several weeks back to lock in Viacom gains I had of about 250%. I wasn't even paying attention to the precipitous drop until I just saw an article on it. Ssssooo happy I did that, it may be the best move I've ever made.

Good looking company at a quick glance.

It could very well keep rallying. Anything industrial has been great this month.

We’re you looking for the 3 white soldiers on the daily chart? I didn’t not see it n on there.

Almost like the algos were set to buy at 3pm. Saw a large volume spike on just about everything.

I mean....flight to value. Multiples on sales are for the "stock market only goes up" guys. The delta one guys are starting to pounce.

You don't care what I think at all because I am not coming at it from a technical standpoint but....

ITW is an excellent EXCELLENT company. My group owns $185 calls expiring in September. Excellent company.
