It looks like there's ~37-39% non auto chrome color in retail.

According to my MOST LIKELY INCORRECT numbers, you should net the following color from each non auto color chrome spot...

Well, I certainly appreciate your wizardry here! Bottom line, these spots really are about getting value in a bulk amount of chrome cards. That being said, Houdini finally pulled 2 for me - a blue and a 70th, so looks like I've beaten those odds Haha. Seriously though, this has been a good learning experience thus far. Appreciate all the help!

You're very welcome. Truth be told, I had already done the tough calculations on the auto spots so it was really just a cut and paste thing.

Very rarely does a product release where the base chrome spots do really well across the board. It's all about picking the right players and hopefully some day they become $1+ base chrome cards. If you hit some real nice color, awesome.

Part of the reason why the bigger names sell so well is due to grading. If you cherry pick 25 of those base cards to send off to BGS there's a chance you get a black label, which is money in the bank.

Don't send in just anyone. You almost have to be a top 5 prospect for the cost of grading to be worth it. And even that isn't a guarantee.

I did this with Bryant RC from Series 1 ~35 cards. Had most 9.5 but about 15 9. Serves me right for letting someone else inspect and submit for me - not doing that again.

Just Paper. It was a bet on the 100 card checklist that is very RC heavy as opposed to the usual 150 w/ only 30 RC. Plus, so many second year chrome that it didn't make a ton of sense to me to pay the premium on Chrome.

I should be getting 9 or so RCs per case. At this point, the Judges alone could pay for all of the cases as long as a couple of them come back 10's (not black label).

And yeah, don't ever let someone else do that for ya. The loss you take on 9s can really eat into your profit on 9.5+, especially on base non-auto.

I think we're going to see a big difference in the hit frequency of some guys on hobby vs jumbo. Arroyo being the most noticeable

It will be interesting to see. Prospect auto odds would be 3 colors and 2.5 base.
