All-Star voting is mainly a popularity contest. I'm guessing it's that way even when players vote (although it's been shown that players across sports typically don't take the voting seriously).

The envy from WNBA players towards CC is grossly misplaced.

TV ratings are up big, flights are private, and the league is more popular than ever. It's all because of her.

Even Isiah Thomas openly credits MJ for generating a lot more money for all the other players with his marketing, shoes, brand, etc...

That was a sad first quarter, fever started with a 9-6 lead and ended the quarter down 20-12 and it could have been worse. I'm second guessing my prediction of the Lynx by 22, unless they sit their starters in the 4th.

I don't know what the hell I'm watching. The Fever still didn't look great, but managed 23 in the 2nd quarter, but the Lynx were just god awful scoring just 7 points and 0 in the last 6 minutes.
Fever up 32-27 at the half.

Wasn't sure which thread to put this in. Maybe this one. I like Clark's seriousness and attention to craft. The other one has a "what me worry" vibe. Ben Simmonsesque. But you never know, maybe he's got a shot.

I don't think anyone realistically gave the Fever a chance to win, it was a total surprise.
ESPN actually posted "Lynx dominate Fever to win Commissioner's Cup" in the middle of the game.

any guesses on how much somebody will overpay for this thing?

apart from that some nice CC cards which looked nice but obviously will be super expensive and also a nice looking cameron brink downtown (dont know how she plays but she has her own appeal)

She's getting up there in age, but hopefully she can fully recover and leave on her own terms.

Yes, but if PSA grades these cards as Panini Instant, I assume it will decrease the value of the cards. We will see

There was a reputable $23K offer in the chat. Same stream there was a CC Flawless patch auto /5 that had a $55K offer. I don't know why anyone would invest anything in AR - she sells because she's a sort of "villain" but ultimately her cards will only go down.
