Remember a year ago when you did not care about retail except for 1-2 products

Now this has become the biggest case of FOMO I have ever seen

People grabbing ginter archives series 2 like it is prizm basketball

Ya and sadly Ginter is my favorite so I have to be quick to grab any retail. I'm not buying any more hobby boxes of that. 3 relics in the last one is annoying even though I know that's typical of that set. I'm getting the same ratio of relics in retail and that annoys me less.

I may just order 4-5 blasters from somewhere and call it a day. That mega of archives will just end up being another pile of cards I don't need. I find that set kind of meh.

these products have always been kind of a pain in the ass to find

Topps Chrome Baseball
Bowman Baseball
Optic Football
Optic Basketball
Prizm Football
Prizm Basketball

now its those plus everything else, its so dumb. i get illusions/chronicles NBA, but its hilarious when these guys are hoarding Allen & Ginter, Topps Fire, Score Football, and Stadium Club.

In our area only Prizm Basketball was kind of hard to get (and even then compared to this year, it really wasn't). I'd say Baseball was 2nd "hardest" (though Chrome and Bowman were readily available, they didn't linger on shelves too long) with Football being the easiest. Football Prizm and Optic was readily available at our Wal Marts and Targets forever seemed like. Even Wal Mart had Blasters and Hangers for a good while on their site earlier this year.

I wouldn't say it's necessarily FOMO. More like pain of hobby prices.

Didn't have a chance to go through everything but I did put out Mosaic fb megas, blasters, hangers, stadium club blasters, chronicles bskb hangers, donruss fb fat packs, hangers, and blasters, and ginter fat packs and cellos

Was on vacation for a few days and checked out some WM and a Target near where I stayed. I went by the Target twice, a few days apart (Sunday to mid-day today), and it didn't appear to have been stocked in between - a bunch of Archives megas and blasters and some A&G and Stadium Club gravity feeds were the "highlights" (I did see one racing Prizm, but wasn't sure if those are as hot as the Prizm products in real sports). One WM was stripped bare, but at the other there were two A&G blasters and...a single Mosaic blaster.

It won't happen again.
You'll be dreaming to see optic/prizm ever again.

According to our local Excel rep, all Excel vendors were emailed to change up their routes every week and to not talk to customers anymore.

Too many guys following the reps around - and some who are unwilling to share product (if multiple people are there), and too many fights / arguments happening.

Our local Rep is great, and for the last couple months, he would gladly tell you where he was headed on certain days. And usually if there were multiple people there, we would count up everything and split it evenly (everyone was civil with each other).

This morning, a couple "new" guys showed up and decided they would run the show and throw everything into their cart and split it how they saw fit (meaning they took the majority of it). Needless to say, there were some words exchanged among the others waiting, and the the rep was really ticked off and said "I shouldn't have to police you guys. From now on, I am not telling you where I will be, and I am changing up my schedule." These "new" guys have been doing this routine lately at other stores since they know the schedule. He said that many reps are tired of dealing with those kinds of "customers" and Excel and Target are well aware of the issues.

Calm the F down people - its trading cards - if there are multiple people there, share evenly. You'll live if you don't get all 10 boxes of Mosaic. Some people are just wacky.

The thing is, it doesn't matter what the product is. Trading cards, toys, makeup, electronics, if it can be resold for more this will happen. they are being looked at as straight cash being put on the shelf.

I had a feeling this was the case. The rep i ran into seemed very focused on what they were doing. And left. It felt... odd.

We are seeing multiple stores in our area with no Mosaic over the past week. Have seen every box that made it to the sales floor opened. Same rep as always, and with mosaic basketball there were no shenanigans. Is anyone seeing targets restock in other parts of the country with no mosaic?

I posted on football
Got 2 blasters and 2 hangers today of mosaic
But they only has 1 mega box which the guy in front of me got
Everyone seems to think managers or staff are probably taking the product before it gets to the floor and leaving a handful just to show stock on the shelf
They have such weird quantities but then stadium club has exactly 20 blasters

Went to Target and Walmart during my lunch because it's really nice out.

Nothing at Walmart except for an old, smelly guy standing off to the side obviously waiting for it to be stocked.

Only sports cards at Target were a handful of Archives blasters. Didn't take any because I've bought plenty of junk wax this season but it is the first time I've seen it in the wild.

Until the glut of 2021. Like target and Wally World won’t up their orders to meet demand!

Stocking lady reversed days at both Walmarts this week.

Still was able to get a few boxes of Mosaic.

I was lucky enough to run into the rep today at Target as he was stocking. Grabbed 3 mosaic hangers, and 2 cellos. No signs of any blasters, or megas....which I found very weird.
