Ya see the smart people wouldnt be showing off because now you attract competitors. Its all a status thing. This whole thing. Its Status and Fomo. Cant just make money. Gotta show off and get likes from people also.

Good thing PSA does not care about that part...

Centering is going to be an issue when buying and looking at eBay sellers that are paying enough to rip this right now

Why don’t retailers like Walmart and Target do what Blowout/DA/Steel City do with the redemption program at the National Sports Convention, when a customer buys the limited product, the store can rip/unseal the wrapper so that it is is no longer re-sellable and the owner would have to keep the product. This would force scalpers out of the market and make collectors happy. This would include management to rip/unseal products for their employees too to avoid conflict of interest in re-selling by employees. Most stores already have the policy that opened product are not returnable this also address that the customer’s intent is to keep the product. Problem solved.

I have seen too many new people in this hobby who don’t know anything about basketball cards or players but have been buying retail to scalp for profits.

This would be awesome!

I hate how much I love some of the insert sets this year. And I’ll get zilch. Cant bring myself to pay 4 figures for a throwback silver Lebron. Last few years have been duds for me on Prizm inserts.

Wait, which Bridges? I have dozens of both...

for context, PSA 10s of Fireworks and Widescreen went this week for $410 and $285.

I just opened my FOTL box. Was the right collation for base...Lebron, Haliburton, Edwards, Lamelo.

Precious and Vassell Prizm Silvers but very off-centered. Luka fireworks silver. Tatum/Steph 2012 flashbacks

Justin Holiday and Josh Green autos

Regular color wasn't good at all. Best was Shaq red /299

Blue Shimmer Bobby Portis

Green Shimmer helped. Anthony Davis /5

I think it’s time for Panini to announce that they will print retail year around non-stop

Well, today was.... something. Our office was closed for Good Friday, so I decided to spend a little time above what I normally do at local WMs.

Stop 1: Extremely pleasant. Everyone was polite and things go smooth. Store had a limit of 2 and everyone took what they want and went their way.

Stop 2: Anderson rep comes out with a cut open box (same rep for all 3 stores, so it's not her taking stuff out the backdoor), sure enough after waiting no Prizm. No biggie, as we kind of suspected that's what was going on there for a while but nice to have confirmation. Of note, manager also is extremely mad for some reason that none of us can figure out as everyone was pretty cordial and just split the little scraps up. Says she's putting a limit out next week, which sure? The good stuff will be backdoored anyway.

Stop 3: Absolute fricken chaos. 3 individuals, 1 of whom in particular has a track record of being a total jerk, posted up in the aisle and say they've been there since 8 (it's now 2). Just really confrontational answers to everything as we all just converse and kill time. Rep comes and starts to stock, they go to the end of the aisle and hover over her shoulder the whole time instead of making a line like normal people. We try to get them to come make a line at least because the manager is furious and the rep is pretty uncomfortable with them being so close to her. Guy 1 response "you're not going to tell me what to do", followed by Guy 2 saying "what are you going to do if I take it all?" Nothing like grown men ready to throw punches over a couple Prizm Hangers. So thankful that hustling retail isn't worth my time anymore because this is probably just the start of it going very far downhill.

Oh my god....if I hear the old "feed their family" line one more time I'm going to puke. Flipping 3 boxes of donruss basketball isn't feeding families.....a job does and there are PLENTY if those out there right now
