Rusty where should Russ be on this top 100? I had him at 307.

$40K on his $11+ mill salary is the equivalent to a speeding ticket for us common folk. It is roughly 1/276th of his salary. If you made 100K a year it would be equivalent to about a $360 fine.

I mean... who needs context when you can just be angry? Not to mention his multiple hundreds of millions in future earnings

You don't like Chris Finch? His first year as HC the Wolves had WL% of .390, then in only his 2nd season last year they improved to .561 % ... He was the 'offensive coordinator' assistant who implemented faster paced offenses in the early Houston/Harden days, got them flying high and then moved to Denver where he pushed Jokic into the pivotal point-5 role and got their offense flying high...

From there he just keeps getting promoted until he landed the HC gig in Minny. I don't think he's had enough of a record to say either way, but one losing season in his first year before a big boom in his 2nd points to him being pretty competent.

Here's 25-11 from ESPN's predictive best of '22-23:

Quote:
No. 25: Anthony Edwards

No. 24: Donovan Mitchell

No. 23: Bam Adebayo

No. 22: Jaylen Brown

No. 21: Chris Paul

No. 20: Anthony Davis

No. 19: Bradley Beal

No. 18: Rudy Gobert

No. 17: Jimmy Butler

No. 16: Trae Young

No. 15: Paul George

No. 14: Damian Lillard

No. 13: Karl-Anthony Towns

No. 12: Kawhi Leonard

No. 11: James Harden
Quote:
So outside of the usual 7 superstars (Giannis, Steph, KD, LeBron, Embiid, Luka, Jokic in no order), it’s Tatum, Morant and Booker cracking the top 10.

He didn’t know who the coach was

lol. Harden at 11? Is this 2018 still?

The scary part is that these are the same people voting for MVP, ROY, and part of the all star team.

I truly believe that a lot of local team media members who vote for these really don't know much past their own hometown team, MVP level stars, and who gets picked top 2 in the draft each year. Less knowledgeable than a lot of the folks who contribute around here, believe it or not.

Dame 14 after last year and another year older. Really bad list.

Or how about Bradley Beal at 19?

Guy only played 40 games last year and averaged 23 ppg when he did play. Just silly.

Beal is who looks most out of place to me... Guessing Harden at 11 means most are thinking he was hobbled a bit last year and has had a healthy offseason so he should bounce-back this year.

I certainly don't think Ja deserves top 10 either, but again guessing that has to do with the predictive nature of this poll. Most may be expecting another jump from him.

You've gotta be joking right? Can I get some names of people who you mean? Honestly, because I would like to pay more attention to them. You are pretty decent, daeve is ok too but quite bias and way to adv metric focused. All the other high post guys are dreadful when we are talking about pure basketball (no hobby)... some of the sparing posters are solid like dame - I guess you mean these types of diamonds in the rough. Otherwise its just trolls and ego's. I mean, ESPN is average at best but come on

The only (semi) logical explanation for me is that they voted (at least some people) by positions or something and SGs got a bump.

Booker Top 10. Harden at 11. Beal at 19. JB at 22. Antman at 25. Klay at 37.

It just doesn't make sense.

Booker was just fourth in MVP voting and First Team All NBA

But I do agree this is too high for him. Kawhi, Butler and Paul are game changers, more so than Tatum, Booker and Ja. These lines are blurred at bit between youthful improvement and veteran bodily wear and tear. Part of why this ranking exercise is impossible

Impossible, but still fun

So who's number 1, Giannis or Jokic? And is Steph higher than Lebron?

"mysanantionio.com" reporting Spurs still interested in those Lakers picks...

Poeltl, McDermot, and J-Rich should work numbers-wise. I know they hate trading with the Lakers, but those picks plus a fun tank commander have gotta be tempting.
