Odd, since apparently they all hate Philly and were constantly openly rooting for whoever was playing them.

I first read that as 9th and 21th and, lemme tell ya, it played with my brain for a second.

Always liked Ketel Marte's game (and cards) - so underrated - I hope he continues to tear it up in the Postseason.

This has to be the first time a team with a negative run differential during the regular season made it to the ws, right?

I'm really disappointed in the Phillies, it seems like they got overly confident after going up 2-0.

Game 4 is definitely on Kimbrel.
Game 3, 6 and 7 is on the offense.

Game 6 - Turner, Harper, Castellanos: 0 for 11
Game 7 - Turner, Harper, Castellanos: 0 for 12

They had there chances but couldn't knock any runs in.

As a Phillies fan, it really shouldn't be that upsetting. 140 seasons and 2 world series championships. That means we went home happy at the end of the year 1.4% of the time since 1883.

We'll get over it and come back again next year.

If only we could just go by run differential in the 7 game LCS. Phillies were plus 9 against the Dbacks.

You only need to win by 1! Winning by 10 doesn't help you in the next game.

Yes, but doesn't bode well for ratings. I didn't get my dream no fans matchup of Rays vs Marlins, but this is close.

I absolutely love the Dbacks storyline here. It felt like a massive upset when they beat Burnes in game 1 of the wild card round, and winning the first series felt like it might be more of a cute little story than something that turned into something. Then they go out and sweep the Dodgers who have been the titans of the west since 2013. And then they go out and knock off the Phillies who were absolutely built for October and had a lot of steam after sending the Braves and their historic offense home

They've felt like big underdogs in every single series, and probably not that far off from underdogs in almost every game honestly. Yet here they are in the World Series. I absolutely love it

Has there EVER been a playoff series in ANY sport like the 2023 ALCS, where the road team won all 7 games?

And have there ever been a pair of semifinal series in any sport where the home teams lost games 6 & 7 in both series?

Brought this up yesterday and the Nats Astros ws had road team won every game. I'm not sure if two teams ever both lost games 6 and 7 at home.

Astros also lost in 7 games to the Nationals in the WS in which the road team won all 7 games. Ironically enough Scherzer was a SP in both Game 7s.

I heard yesterday this is the first time in MLB where both series went 7 games and the home teams lost both game 6 and 7. Not sure about other sports.

He is a talker, but I enjoy him. He is better than Francuer on the other side. Darling is pretty good though. I think pitchers in general are a lot better (probably catchers as well) in doing the analysis. They obviously have to think out the game a lot more than an infielder or outfielder.

As a surprise to no one, Chris Russo has already backed out on his promise to retire.
