How can you say Chip Kelly's offense is overrated? It's ranked 3rd in the NFL!

Their offense couldn't figure Arizona out all game . Eagles scored early and struggled to score all game even after getting the ball near the 40 or better multiple times in a row. One of the biggest problems all year was the inability to finish drives and get touchdowns. I'm sorry but that's not an excellent offense.

If Eagles had a better defense like it has in years past they would be playing in the playoffs. Their offense got them as far as it could take them.

This guy knows what he's talking about. We ran a really good offense, but we were ineffective due to having the most turnovers in the league. Primarily because of the inconsistent QB play. Foles with a healthy O-line next year? That turnover part will be fixed.

I guess I have to explain it to you again, the eagles defense and special teams was the reason their points per game were inflated. The eagles beat up on the bad teams and got crushed by the better teams.

Their offense stunk against the 49ers (they didn't even score besides special teams in this game), they stunk against the cardinals, they stunk against the packers, they stunk against the Seahawks and they stunk against the redskins the second time. In 5 of 16 games their offense was non existent. They couldn't move the ball, they couldn't finish drives, they couldn't stop turning the ball over. Of course all of the other games they faced garbage defenses and the eagles special teams helped them out immensely.

This is not the definition of an "excellent" offense. Their offense was not better than 2013, and when you don't have a good defense and play fast football, you need to score touchdowns, offensive touchdowns and the eagles didn't.

Stop fooling yourselves with this offense is excellent crap. Chip Kelly's offense is overrated and that's all there is to it. The quarterback was a big part of this, but I think we can put an end to any qb can succeed in this system crap.
LOL. You're contradicting yourself. The special teams unit this year was the best in the league, and probably amongst the best in the past decade. You're acting like that should count against us. You say Chip doesn't know what he's doing, but why do you think our special teams found this much success this year? Because Chip made it a priority in the offseason to pick up guys who could contribute on special teams, and look how much of an impact that made for our team. He brought in guys like Maragos, Burton, Sproles, Braman, Proskinski, Huff, and Parkey. Everyone seemed to question those pickups since they weren't big names, but look what he did with them. All of them made enormous impacts on our team. So who cares how our team is scoring? They could be scoring off fake punts for all I care. A TD is a TD. 6 points is 6 points. Chip turned a below average special teams unit into the best unit in football, he turned a trash offense into a Top 5 offense in just his first year here, he's developed our front 7 beyond what any of us would have imagined, and now if we get that secondary fixed in the offseason, we will give him the tools to fix that too.

The only thing that Chip can truly be questioned for is his ability to manage a strong defense. Outside of that, he has done way more than any respectable head coach could have done in their first two years.

So you are saying that the Eagles offensive stats PG shouldn't count just because they played a few bad teams? You are more hollow than I thought.

Sorry but no. The special teams slowed down at the end, just like every other aspect of chip's team. The turnovers were bad but turnover or not they couldn't finish drives and that isn't a top 5 offense no way.

This offense will get put down by an actually defense every single time

A few bad teams? Every game they won was against a mediocre defense. They couldn't beat the real defenses

So Denver's stats shouldn't count since they play Oakland twice a year?

So according to you, we should bring in another head coach right? Since Chip "isn't a mastermind?" If so, I would be interested in hearing what head coach you think would have do a better job with Mark Sanchez than Chip Kelly did.

We got unlucky this year with injuries killing the offensive line and Foles only playing half a season. Without those two unfortunate circumstances, we would be in playoffs right now.

Ehh maybe... Who knows if we would have made it. Certainly would have had more than 10 wins but BUTTFUMBLE ruined that even though you were ready to make him the franchise qb after beating a garbage team.

Chip gets one more year. Let's see if he can make the defense better and make the playoffs otherwise he will be off to the highway

No. Chip is our guy. If you don't like how it is now, you'll be in for a real disappointment if we bring in someone else.

I believe that their two starting corners were out for most of the Eagles game.

Yeah, the coach that brought a 4-12 team to 2 straight 10-win seasons is really on the hot seat right now!

lol

Offense is the last thing the Eagles need to worry about right now.

I wouldn't say that. The turnovers and inability to score in the redzone are pretty alarming. Both of those need to be addressed, and they can always use more weapons. We need depth at WR, possibly upgrade over Cooper outside. Offensive line can always use depth. There are big pieces in place, but all it takes is one going down in pre-season to derail the season. Look how rough they were with the piece together offensive line at the beginning of the season.

With that said, the glaring issues are in the defensive secondary. They also need more depth for the front 7.

And our starting QB was injured and we had to put in Sanchez. I think that levels things out.

There is a lot of rumors flying around right now, one being that Chip has asked to get out of his contact

Ugh this better not be true, we don't need Howie Roseman screwing this up
