Speaking of which, Hess' thread needs a bump.

Edit: Never mind. I see he refers to Trump in a bilingual tongue.

If Fauci was so clearly lacking, why didn't the President replace him in the three years before this? And why hasn't he fired him yet, if Fauci's the one responsible for Trump looking so bad throughout all of this.

You think quoting Fauci's words from another 5 weeks before his words of Feb. 29 that you mischaracterized is helpful to your case?
I don't think you understand how this works.
Sometimes you don't know someone is lacking until they are presented with a challenge. Fauci and many other "experts" failed bigly.

New poll idea. May get me in trouble with the higher powers, but I may do it!

Don't have the answer. Are some of the countries buying from China who has been at this for months longer. Are they buying some of ours?

Going off tests per million, we seem to be around the area that UK, Italy, Germany, Canada are at. I'm sure every country would love to be at a 1:1 testing rate, but at the end of the day, it's going to be a production capacity limit dictating how fast tests can enter the global marketplace.

Why don't they just make a couple billion more tests for us? Problem solved.

Testing is being ramped up, but our availability is still quite limited.

They were, but the tests were junk. Most stopped using them. China still exports the supplies to make them though, along with PPE.

I buy local. China and Brazil own most of the meat processing capabilities in the US though.

Figured as much.

I'm sure China has all our best interests at heart and is churning out as much quality PPE and product to make test kits as humanly possible and at a reasonable purchase price...

That was sarcasm if no one detected it.

I do understand the timelines.
If you did, you'd realize how embarrassing it is for the President that a U.S. Senator from a small state would've had us infinitely more prepared for this than Trump did. Surely, Trump was privy to the same information that so alarmed Senator Murphy.

Here it is, for those who may have missed it:

You clearly don't.

Jan 21- Fauci tells Americans not to worry and that the CDC and Homeland have it under control
Feb 5- The Senator says they aren't taking it seriously enough.

Who do you think was advising Trump over those 2 weeks (not 5, math is hard), and not much changed in that period.

I think along with personal attacks gaining suspensions, pure contradictions need added to that list.

Fauci looking worse by the day.

Ask yourself and Heel how you would react if he were to do that. You guys would go insane.

Not the correct move to make at this point. The damage is done and there is no amount of firings that will fix it now. The agencies we pay hundreds of millions of dollars to in order to protect ourselves from a situation just like this will definitely need to be looked at once this passes.

Math is easy. It was five weeks between the Fauci comments you linked to and Fauci's comments on the Today show.
I've only ever related the timing of Murphy's comments to Trump's comments.

You're the one trying to blame everyone but Trump for his own epic failure.

Feb 5- The Senator says they aren't taking it seriously enough.
March 9- Trump says there is no problem.

Do you need to see the tweets again?
