Yes! $50 packs of Mega Box chrome! This makes great sense!

i tend to agree with you but Im also basing my assumption on the fact that players get hot at some point in the season and as soon as that happens, that will also add value to these boxes.

I agree on this also. I hope they reach $100+, but you never know.

With all the excitement today I had to break 2 more boxes.
No Ohtani this time, but pretty happy

Does anybody live near Stamford (CT) and search the Target there all the time?
I go there every so often to check for baseball cards (especially these rare releases), but always come up empty handed or just find some Series 1, Opening Day, Donruss.
Just trying to see if the reason why I never see Mega Boxes or even the regular Bowman are due to someone getting them ahead of me, or if the Target just doesn't get them in...

Are the variations on a thicker card stock like the numbered cards and autos?

30 of these little bastards just arrived in my office thanks to Target.com.

2 are going to be sacrificed to the ripping gods.

Edit:

Auto of Willie Abreu, not much else. Gleyber base, green jordan humphries.

I feel the urge for more.

Edit x2: 2 more. Not much. A couple purples. I think I'm done.

I’m trying to find an easy way for my mother to discover the variations without having to look for the codes on the back. She bought and busted 60 boxes for me as I stated in a previous post. She wasn’t aware to look for any variations. That’s over 500 mojo cards she has to shuffle through.

Been hunting since Monday.

Went to one Target 4 times between Monday and Wednesday until finally asking an employee who said someone grabbed them all before being displayed.
Went to another Target once where the display was there but empty.
Went to another Target on Tuesday night and they were clueless. Going to try back today to see if maybe they're there and try the DPCI trick.
Went to another Target 6 times. Never saw a display. On the 5th try, finally did the trick of asking an associate to look up the DPCI. Nothing sold. Had someone look in the back and they found it. They only sold me 7 and told me to come back today as they said they'd put it out overnight. They didn't, but someone sold me the rest of what was in the back.
Went to a random Target today and the display was full. I assume it just got put out.

I have a job and am somewhat ashamed, but all of these are in between work and home. Definitely getting weird looks when I ask questions about trading cards and am checking out dozens of boxes.

As someone was saying the hunt seems to be part of the fun. #nothingforthekids

Found 10 boxes yesterday and threw them up for 350 shipped.

Was getting offers in the 275-300 range steadily, with one 200 offer mixed in

Soon as the news of the redemption being real went out, my listing sold...

Went to two Targets in my area on lunch, struck out...
GF texts me that another store HAD 15 boxes...
She slow rolled me and then sent a text 10 minutes later stating she was the buyer

Here is how the light bulb went off. I went to a store and showed them a pic of the red display. The guy looked in the back but didn't see anything. He then, as luck would have it opened up a box that he thought would contain that size display. Bingo! He drug the box outside and I took a picture of it. It became my go to. True story - at one Target, an employee told me I could go look in the back myself. He radioed back there that I was coming. Off I went. At that point I realized, there are A LOT of boxes back there. I got on the rolling ladder looking at the top of the shelves. Kinda crazy!

Step 1 - put the pic of the red display and the brown box they come in your phone (pics are in this thread)

Step 2 - find a Target employee in electronics or toys (be careful in who you choose to ask!)- show them the picture of the red display. They will possibly either remember it or not. If they don't Step 3 is the key.

Step 3 - show them the picture of the brown box. It is about 4.5 ft by 2.5 feet. Point out the label that says it was suppose to drop last Sunday. Ask if they will look in the back for it. Employees look much harder when they know what to look for. If they go back looking for a red display you will strike out every time. The BROWN BOX is the key! I had my own box pic but the one in this thread should work fine!

Also, here is the DPCI number - 087124041 get them to punch it in. It will probably say 0, explain it always says this. The reason that number is important is b/c they can see if that item has been sold. If one has you are SOL. The system seems like it is a day behind though.

I gave my bud this tip and he picked up 2 displays using the same method.
This was the most helpful post, as I found a nice employee that went above and beyond and checked the back and brought out a fresh display.

So unless you see the empty display on the floor you may want to ask someone to help.

So my Target has been showing that they haven't received them and show no shipping date. According to them, that suggests that it'll probably be coming from a vendor (AKA Excell) but based on these posts, it looks like they were direct shipped and Target employees put them out themselves. What is it?

Small bit of info real quick. Don't know if it's been said. The way these are shipped to target their inventory says 0 until they get out out on the floor. So if they are in the back room they don't know unless they look.

Usually someone does a guide on variations in a product...

this did not help when I told the asses who work at target yesterday.

"ALL INVENTORY THAT WE RECEIVE IS AUTOMATICALLY SCANNED AND PUT INTO SYSTEM. HAVE A GOOD NIGHT."

Then he walked away. Again, there is a reason these people work at target.

The one I just went to said that they looked it up, never received them, and went to the back to check if they came in today. They came in the day before and were never logged. Apparently these aren’t like your typical target items and aren’t logged and processed the same way
