Even so, what kind of person is so distrusting of eBay sellers that they would automatically assume we are lying about shipping? You would think a cordial conversation could be had by two people to clear the air on a potential issue with USPS, and instead it instantly resorts to name calling.

Had another buyer today send me a rude message. He paid $3.50 DLVD for a card and was upset that I used Standard Shipping instead of a bubble mailer. Didn't matter to him that the bubble mailer would have cost close to $4. He expected first class package service for a two dollar card and said I was a disgrace to eBay because of it.

Yea I have literally sold thousands of dollars in cards this year been on eBay 9 years have had no issues why would I lie about a $10 card . Hell it’s like I told eBay I was gonna wait till I have to respond the dispute to refund him if it’s still not been scanned but he starts cussing me and that’s what has me pissed off more than anything I could care less about the card or the $10

Responding to a few posts up... these clowns love to pressure you until you remind them what's already in black and white... my stated handling time is X days... eBay's standard envelope policy tells you to ship in X manner... things that easily show you know what you're talking about and eBay will have your back... usually shuts them up. Just frustrating having to deal with them, fortunately i haven't had that many.

I believe others have had issues when handing them to a worker vs just dropping them in a mailbox to be sorted. eBay will refund you if lost, just sounds like your buyer is a jerk

If there's one point that Ebay sales continually drive home, it's that people are stupid.

Getting positive feedback on these new PWE's with comments or direct messages stating how disappointed they were that their 99 cent card arrived 'safely in just a penny sleeve and cardboard backing in an envelope.'

Yes, because I'm going to supply you with a 50 cent toploader and first class bubble mail shipping for a transaction totaling $1.80.

There's simply nothing else I can add to my shipping specifics in my descriptions to cover for people's sheer ignorance and sense of entitlement.



Also, I'm getting random batches of these PWE's that never get scanned by USPS...ever. No acceptance or delivery. Had about 30 of them last month, and now 27 of them this month. All from a 1 or 2 day span. Obviously, they were long delivered by now, as no buyer ever reached out asking where their card(s) were, and some even left positive feedback.

Frustrating.

I do toploader or card saver on everything. They are costing me about 18 cents each I charge 25 cents for each additional item so the added cost is absorbed.

If the buyer never complain don't worry about them.

Thanks for the suggestion! I suppose I could do a cardsaver for each if I just tack on the cost to shipping ($1.15 vs. .95). Probably best than to deal with the potential of a future neg.

The "delivery" dates via the standard envelope tracking says they were delivered over a week ago. A quick search of this thread tells me to let them escalate their claim to eBay, right?

Had this happen with 2 PWE's recently (to the same person). Both for cards nearing the $2x cutoff. So was a bit skeptical at first, especially considering both showed as delivered on the Ebay tracking system nearly a week prior.

I told him not much I could do because they said delivered, outside of him asking his neighbors or the local PO. I told him if they ever were returned to me, that I would re-send.

He was actually pretty cool and said don't worry about it, things happen.

Fast forward a week later: low and behold, both envelopes arrive in my box both stating undeliverable- return to sender.

Was very surprised. But contact him and re-sent.

This new tracking system is so messed.

That sounds more like a lazy carrier than the tracking.

Used this service for about three weeks, 160 items, really problem free. Made my own shipping envelopes out of old file folders. As many as three cards, all in top loaders and team bags. Less than an ounce so $.51 option. Yesterday, for the first time, received returns with scribbles on my envelope.. 20cents.. 60cents needed. One with two cards/top loaders. The rest just one card. All envelopes well below size threshold.

A buddy has sent over a thousand. Asked if that'd ever happened, he says no.. until a few hours later when got to his PO Box and was loaded with returns containing the same scribbles. He uses the Ebay furnished envelopes.

This AM I took these to the PO. They had no idea this program exists, swore to me tracking was impossible (didn't bother explaining it to them), and couldn't tell me why they were returned as they were all fine at $.51.

Strange.
