I recently got this on eBay and noticed it has rainbow foil instead of purple. Has anyone came across any of these?

I don't really do much football (ok this is my only football card), but once I saw this parallel of the regular mirror red I had to have one. It's easily in the top 3 list of best looking cards ever. Of course, I'd much rather they would have done blue or gold, but I'll take it.

I don't really like the looks of this at all. I've never seen rainbow foil on any of these before and the 4 on the serial number looks different than a lot of other 4's I've seen. I can't imagine anyone is faking $200-300 cards, but you never know. Hopefully it's just a replacement for a damaged card.

Following up on this post, you had the Lombardi Trophy hologram as the big hit of 1990 Pro Set (and perhaps the first numbered chase card ever). In 1991, Pro Set cut the print run of their chase cards from five digits (10,000 of the Trophy holograms) to four digits and then three digits.

As I understand it, 1991 Pro Set Platinum came in Series 1 and Series 2. In each, there were randomly inserted redemptions for a card made with around a gram of platinum. I believe that the Series 1 redemption was redeemable for a Paul Brown platinum card (hand-numbered /1,500), while the Series 2 redemption was redeemable for Emmitt Smith (hand-numbered /650~!). I read somewhere that the original plan was for there to be 1,000 Emmitts made, but they only ended up making 650.

If you have any info to add or corrections to make, please do so!

Anyway, here is a ludicrously bad scan of a copy of the Emmitt that I just got in:
