Luka is definitely one of the favorites, and I agree that Giannis’ past two post seasons will be held against him in this years vote. Would be really hard for him to win again this year. Realistically lebron has had the jordan treatment, where both of them should have basically won it every year for a 10 year stretch, but the media looked for reasons to give it to someone else occasionally. They may give it back to him one more time if he has a worthy season.

It’s there for the taking for Luka, he just can’t finish 4th in the west and expect stats to carry the day. If they can win 55 games (or the equivalent of if it’s a shortened season) with the stats he’ll put up he’s right there. Just win baby.

Just a curious question. Why does the obsidian sell for more than other chronicles gems? Seems like its a fairly easy grade and has a higher population from others?

I picked up the Absolute rainbow when it first came out except for the 1/1. The 1/1 sold at auction and I have no idea why I didn't snag it. It went pretty cheap too.

i used hyperbole when i said 10 straight years, but Lebron has definitely been the best player in the league more than four times.

Actually it was one of the tougher singles to pull at 1:36. It has the silver shine that most like and until recently, good for those who have them, was relatively an inexpensive silver. My 3 PSA 10’s like the trend.

Its kind of the the narrative that Russell Wilson has never won an MVP - go year by year and tell me who he deserved it over. The fact that hes been a top 4/5 QB every year for such a long time is his legacy not that he was the best in the league in one year.

Its the same with Lebron he hasn't deserved it over anyone you mentioned above and he still may have been the best player in the league that year - however being a top 5 player for such a crazy long time is more impressive than someone popping up for a few years then fading away.

If only they kept track of things that mattered when deciding who gets the award, like season record or stats then we'd be able to work out who had the best season.....

I personally love it. Biased because I have one. I think the print line that’s pretty obvious on most holds it back. Once people get over this “psa 10 or nothing” mentality, it will take off.

Why does that matter? It’s a regular season mvp award, not preserving yourself for playoffs award, either show up or lose it.

gotcha, yeah same page. If he wins a ring and an mvp within the next 3 years his prices blow past mahomes given the size of the basketball market compared to the football market.

Could see a nice mvp run for him. Hopefully they can add some pieces to help them compete for a title. Taking LAC to 6 was impressive, especially without KP for most of it.

Yeah if they can get another piece or two lookout. That and keep the unicorn healthy (which i’m skeptical about unfortunately).

i’m not sure what resources they have to deal though outside cubans wallet, which only goes so far in a salary capped league.

MVP is very achievable for him, the chip is going to be harder, and that would be what moves him into the upper echelon.
