My two sets arrived last night! I didn't hit any monsters in my green packs, but for the silver waves all my Zion's, Ja's, & Coby's were relatively well-centered and free of printer lines.

This was a great product, and wonderful that we got one the casual collector had plenty of advance access to before the prices went through the roof!

I never received a shipping notification so it was quite the surprise to find my order of 2 boxes waiting for me last night! Opened one, nothing special out of the green packs, which makes it harder for me to sell the 2nd one but I think I'm going that route - from what I read here it seems that people aren't as interested in buying a full set minus the green pack, so maybe it's best to just make a profit and still be able to keep the silver waves I want from the first set.



That second green pack will haunt my dreams though, seems like my type of luck to open the Brandon Clarke green pack and sell the Zion/Ja one lol

Looks like two Zion Silver Waves ended over $140 yesterday. All in the same breath people were able to buy multiples at $75. hmmmmm . I Stand corrected. Those Zions have surface issues. Still over 130 for nice copies

Sound about right for this market. Two things are going to happen... returns on many of the base silver singles (all players) are about to go through the roof. Or... lots of people better hold for a while that bought at the early inflated prices on singles. Better hold onto these sets sealed boys/girls. Outside of Ja and Zion which will also see a significant decrease in price. Singles of nearly every other player will be down 75% or more. More like 85% IMHO

People say this kind of stuff a lot of these boards, but I see no proof of it happening with any regularity. It happens with cards on occasion, and it sucks, but I never heard of "mass returns" when Luck retired or the Kobe situation (although there were some). People who bought a $30 card that is now worth $15 don't generally return them.

If you look at all of your posts in this thread it is clear you are bummed that you missed out. You even said so yourself in a previous thread. So on behalf of everyone on Blowout, let me offer our apologies that you missed out on the easiest money of the year. We get it.

It all depends on the centering. I haven't been watching the silvers, just the greens. Well centered one went for $410 yesterday, ones with defects are sitting at sub $300

I've also been trying to figure out the value of the green packs. It seems like people are willing to pay at least $300 for Zion and $150 for Ja, but the others are selling VERY poorly. Like, half the price of their Holos. Just browsing some of the latest, it seems like you can maybe get $20+ for Rui and Nunn but probably nobody else. With only a handful of guys commanding even $10, it's maybe $200 for the other 48 rookies? Which should put the value of the green pack around $65. Someone double check me on that, thanks

The Silver Wave Zions are this way too. I've sold some with good centering this week and have averaged $180. I sold one with 67/33 Top Bottom centering and got $100. I have only been selling this week but I'm not seeing a weakness in the Zions (or Morants for that matter). I'm probably getting alittle lucky but those are my results.

I love the set and am nerding out selling off the singles as an excuse to handle the cards.

LOL. You guys are so easily riled up. Of course it was easy money. And I have made enough EZ money in this insane market that it doesn't bug me. Yes people will and are making a killing on these. And that is great.. but anyone who paid 70 for a Lebron when you can now pick em up for around $20? That wouldn't sit well. And come on. You are smart enough to realize that in this market.. many buyers these days are in it to make money. NOT collect their favorite player.

Cool set, but prices are coming back to reality. Just as everyone is pumping there are some that have a more tempered approach.

And in full disclosure I did get one set and properly sold it sealed to a local buyer. No worries of a return. Although I still think sealed sets will probably stay pretty strong.

Not saying I didnt wish I bought more with the stupidity of the market. The new flippers these days just aren't very bright.

Oh, and I clarified my earlier post. The Zions that went for cheap had bad surface issues

Edit: the thing that I do find funny is there were those that bought a ton of sets early, then proceeded to cancel their orders when they thought these were over produced. So if it was OK for people to cancel on fanatics because they thought they couldn't flip for profit would it be OK for recent buyers of overpriced silver waves to return those and cancel their orders? That is a serious question. Same thing or no?

I think you're right, that puts the EV of ripping the green packs to be around $70. Average card value around $14. You get 5 cards in a pack.

No but Blowout is still buying at $225 which is about the most you'd net on ebay after fees and shipping right now.
