Chet's defense doesn't look great so far. His rim protection looked good during summer league and preseason, but against grown men he is being overpowered and shoved around pretty easily.

Either Spurs are better than everyone was expecting or Dallas is much worse. Keldon looks engaged again after a down year [I think he really didn't like tanking], Vassell looks improved, Sochan as PG looks like he'll be an x-factor. Victor looked great in his minutes. Lotta ticky tack fouls went Dallas' way and then hilarious how they let Dallas basically assault Keldon in the paint at the end. Ah well, young team and with an experimental 'pg' so there will be a learning curve but that game felt like a W for them.

Vassel, Johnson, and Wemby are all talented and played hard for their home opener and Wemby debut.

Wemby showed flashes of being a unicorn but Lively outplayed him as the other main rookie on the court. Lively obviously has a much better player passing to him than anyone on the Spurs.

Good night for Luka - impactful triple double with some clutch buckets and assists to close it out. Solid d too.

It's going to be an adjustment period for him with NBA physicality, despite his offseason claims that the euroleague was superior in that department. Nothing compares to the size of NBA rosters...nothing.

He'll have to be more selective with his defensive aggressiveness, since the opposition will be continually looking to attack his body (pause) and bury a shoulder into his chest/navel.

This applies to both Ogre debutantes.

Long season. It'll come. Be patient and wait for bullish divergence after consolidation.
