I’m very surprised it only went for $400k. To me this would be among his most desirable rookies. I’m guessing this is a product of there being two known copies floating around?

Idk, even then, there are only two.

If he were in one of his college/bowl uniforms then I could see that price being what it was, but supposedly people go crazy over a full Pats uni

If it were signed/auto issued from 2000 I wonder what it would have gone for.

If it went for $20k more, or even more, I wonder why all his autos from 2000 aren’t more.

Or if the Championship Ticket wasn’t auto issued I wonder what prices would be, so many questions about the price of his auto from 2000 lol

Yes, one is in a PSA holder as well. Both real, but I would think it impacted the price 25-50%

Yeah - no doubt the known existence of a second impacted the price of this one. Also I’m sure the ongoing market dip didn’t help, but given Showcase has a pedigree in the Hobby and as far as I am aware this is the only 1/1 RC from a major brand (not CE) that Brady has, I’m surprised at the price.

I’m full disclosure, I have the Urlacher 1/1 and it’s far and away his most desirable rookie to me.

Why aren’t Championship Tickets cheaper then since there’s 100 of them?

If the card was /2 I'd agree, but since it is a 1/1 it hurts the integrity of the card I think in many peoples eyes. One of the two is backdoored which will undermine buyer confidence. I would have expected that card (in the absence of a second) to bring as much or more as a champ ticket. The base is a popular Brady RC, its a full Pats uniform and its the only 1/1 RC parallel.

I think the low sale is a product of the second copy, current market conditions, and the platform it was sold.

The Championship ticket is from one of the most prominent football sets of all time in Contenders and an extremely rare parallel of his best rookie card in a full Patriots uniform. A score autograph in a Michigan uniform will never touch those prices. Sorry.

I never mentioned a score auto lol I was just saying it’d be interesting if the championship ticket wasn’t signed, what it would go for.

The showcase is also his full pats uniform obviously, just seemed like the price was low given there’s only two of them, no auto though

Good idea, someone messing with Prospects is clearly in the wrong place, the exact opposite of Brady.

Rings aren’t everything but I mean who’s extremely desirable/expensive with no rings that currently isn’t playing anymore? It’s hard to think of anyone? Just goes to show new guys that are expensive are a mistake.

The AFC is a good example

Mahomes with one ring, Wilson with one, Josh Allen, Mac Jones, Justin Herbert, Lamar etc as well as teams in the playoffs without a “big name” qb, it’s just not possible for any one of those guys to stand out/win a lot. Since there’s also obviously the NFC side

People hoping a player has a “good season” is just funny, it’s only good if it ends with a ring. A playoff loss is the same as not even making the playoffs. From a result standpoint anyway. Obviously contracts/fans/player performance is viewed differently from a 2 win team or a 9 win team though, but that doesn’t effect long term

Sorry if it was already said, but was the serial number added after-the-fact on one of the ‘1-1’ Showcase Masterpieces? Usually the backdoored Fleer stuff came out without numbering, in most cases.
